After my little freakout in front of Makai, we celebrated Thanksgiving at our place. Obviously, we weren't really able to go anywhere else to have dinner with the family. Derek, who was going to go home for Christmas, joined the family in coming to my house for dinner. He had a long weekend from classes and nowhere to go. And since he was in on the family secret, it was only natural for us to invite him to the family dinner. He was one of us now, and that meant that we were going to treat him accordingly.

Things were going OK since that day. I hadn't had any freakouts anymore, and Makai and I were just doing our best to rest and relax and live our lives. I think that we were doing a good job for the time being as well.
