Capítulo 57: Interlude - Titania’s adventures PTII

Among the swaying bodies that seemed to do nothing. Merely walking here and there with the flow of traffic, a voice echoed - "Aia" - and so… when that voice spoke through the clamoring and tirade of travelers.

Who had traveled so far to come here, maybe to see family, or to find a new life among a new city… or even… a mere merchant. The surroundings became crystal clear. In a way that only absolute power could command. Their voices fading towards their own separate conversations.

But anyone could tell, with a look, that they had stopped focusing on their own and took their attention to us.

That blue haired woman - Aia apparently - merely smiled. A grin so wide upon her face as she came upon the guard. She who had caused such a commotion.

The rough echo of her steps made it so that my head swayed up and down among the oh so quiet audience. Craning their ears to find any gossip that may interest them.

For it must have been strange, within my own guesses of course, for a guard… who had seemed so cruel and curt, to greet this girl with such familiarity.

"Was it a relative… an important noble… some brave warrior… maybe even a princess…."

I could hear each and every one of their speculations… no matter how wild and untrue I could tell them to be.

Even if it was only by the tone of their voice. Which had turned so joking within the few seconds it took to approach this guard.

Silently… I scowled. Feeling touchy hands pet all over my fur. Careful to keep that jar - hanging from my body by my own power - from falling and breaking. As she knew how much I valued it.

So quiet… the land… the gate that had been clamoring with speculation. With theories and throwaway lines… every sound faded. All 'cept for the gentle swaying of the grass within the wind.

The drops of rain that had appeared so suddenly. The gentle and loud noise of their impact upon those same cloves of grass. And the crunch of swaying boots upon them.

I scowled once more as I was wrangled within her grasp. Fur standing on edge as she approached. A silent greeting, spoken in unknown gestures occurred. A paper passed to and fro with messages that I could not interpret.

And finally… that noise… their clamoring boots, the symphony of voices. Appearing once more in the wind. The gentle rain that had fallen for so short a time. Gone.

As was that guard. Swapped for another. An identical that seemed to be the same. The same mannerisms, the same posture, even the same eyes. But to my senses. I knew… she was not the same.

"Ready!" Aia spoke. Her voice oh so excited.

Reluctantly I nodded. Leading her with a paw… only now, upon that showful of power she displayed, only now did I have second thoughts of leading her towards my savior.

"This way… but that's… oh I see." There was a glint within her eye. Reflected by that singular glass of hers. Resting on her eye and connected by a chain to her ear.

"I see… I really do see~" She teased.

Whatever it was, whatever she had seen. I wanted no part within it. For she was just too… too… there was a word for it. But in my grand consciousness… I found it missing.

Only when we stepped within that same infirmary. Gentle reproaches reaching my ear. Only then did I levitate out of her grasp, masking it with a jump. One where I landed completely and utterly upon the chest of my savior.

I looked back at that blue haired girl. Only her smile was different. It had every single… and I meant every single… same feature. But for some reason it was different. Sharper, if I had to put a word to it.

I scoffed.

"Wh-" One of the white coated humans spoke, their voice tinged with professional concern. Yet I scoffed. Looming over my human. My Gabriel.

Watching as the golden haired girl loomed over with concern. A hand touched to his burning forehead. I could practically feel the pain that he was in.

Rough breath after rough breath that spoke of pain beyond pain. And when he woke… when those girls spoke to him. Their thanks given in such a way.

I found myself growing impatient. A paw coming to his chest, and just as that one paw came, another and another. Until all that was left was my body. Which I settled over his own. Laying in such a way that it restricted my kitten's breathing.

So when he gasped, in askance of me removing myself from his chest. Stubbornly I held still. Only moving slightly to tilt the jar over his mouth. Force feeding Gabriel the concoction. Barely noting the looks of absolute concern within those white coated humans.

For they would not understand the remedies of us demons.

Light shone within my eyes. A piercing light that seemed to blind all but those used to it, so as I opened sensitive eyes to that same piercing light. Soon after… I was forced to hide them.

Burrowing within Gabriel's gown, letting his warmth carry over to me. And when he woke once again - "Titania" - a voice filled with absolute confusion. Carrying a tinge… an oh so grateful tinge.

As it should be. I had gone… out of my way, I would say… to heal him of such a malady, only right that Gabriel offered me his warmth for such an inconvenience.

And so I meowed, purring within his warm grasp.

"Was that you… you cured me…?"

His voice was filled with pure conviction. Conveying his thanks and gratitude… the confusion he felt at me being able to heal him.

But it was me. Of course I would be able to do such a thing. I was the queen… Titania. As he had named me, there was no other outcome.

"Gabriel then…" I jumped. Hissing at the voice that had startled me out of my reverence. That blue haired girl. Her eyes shining with complete curiosity as she dragged Gabriel into a hug. Placing me between her breasts and Gabriel's own chest.
