Well, all I can do is curse the idiotic father of mine. How could he do something like that and complicate his wife and son?
"Red Ant, Cleon hit his head and does not remember much right now." Said Kaiba as he looked apologetic to the sick woman lying on the floor. He had promised Cleon's father to help them when he was not there, but what could he do? If he helped them openly, his family would break down like Cleon's. He had many people to care about in his family. Would he care more about me than his family? No sane man would do that. Not to mention that my father had done the fucking deed forbidden by all in the city.
"Don't worry, uncle Kaiba. We will manage." Said Red Ant with a weak voice. I was sure that she did not have much time before dying. I don't know if I should feel joy or sorrow. If she died, at least I would not have to take care of a sick woman that I saw for the first time. But if I let something like that happen, I would feel bad inside. The young man died to give me this body, and I would abandon his mother. Something felt wrong here.
Well, what should I do? I don't know how I would save her in the first place, even if I wanted to. And it would get harder and harder for me since I would have to escape from this place one day.
"Come here, Cleon." Said the woman with a weak voice. I did not know why, but my heart started beating fast and started hurting me at that moment. It seems that the emotions of this body did not fade with the fading of the original soul. I don't know when I started to cry, but I felt hot tears falling from my chicks onto the ground as I moved towards her.
"Don't cry, Cleon. I will be fine. Your Mhysa will stand up soon and take your place." Said the woman as she tried to console me with her hand. I felt really hurt at that moment since the words of this woman made it harder for me. I could not ignore this innocent woman and let her die just like that.
Although I thought like that, I could not think of a way to save her.
What are all of you asking from someone who lived in an advanced world then died and his soul traveled for two million years? I should not have any common sense by now. I could only ask someone who might know.
I turned to Kaiba, who was looking at the both of us with pity in his eyes.
I sensed that he wanted to help us but could not. I could not blame him for trying to save his family. This body's mother should have died long ago because of her injuries, but she is alive right now, which means that Kaiba and his family took good care of her.
"Where can I find something to heal Mhysa, grandpa Kaiba?" I asked with a sad tone. This sorrow was coming from both of me and the body. I respected and pitied such a woman, who still cared about me or this body although she was about to die, and my body would not allow me to leave her in this situation. Although I know that any mother would act the same, especially in front of her son, that was in the modern era.
Imagine living in the medieval world where families sold their children for money, not to mention slaves.
"There is nothing to do, little Cleon. The only way to save her is to take a healing potion from the potion master's room. No one will waste such an important potion on the likes of us." Said Kaiba with a depressed tone.
It seemed that the man knew about the situation in the city very well. I already figured that the masters would not care about the slaves even if they were about to die. The master would buy more slaves rather than waste food and water to feed them.
"Don't worry, little Cleon. Your Mhysa is strong and will stand up by tomorrow." Said the woman with a smile. Although she said that, I knew very well that she was only trying to console me since she saw that I am worried and concerned about her.
"Don't worry, Mhysa. I will find a way." I said with a smile, trying to console the woman, but before I could even say anything more, a message got sent to me by the system.

When I heard those words, I tried to end the conversation with the two and go to where I should sleep. Kaiba pointed to a location in another corner in the same room where more and more slaves kept coming in order to sleep, and I went there at once. I was really feeling tired after experiencing all that and laid on the ground trying to sleep. Not to mention how crowded the place was with slaves, the floor was hard and uncomfortable, but I had to put up with all this shit since I had no luxury life anymore. Before sleeping, I decided to check the quest dashboard.

[Kaiba's POV]
What was wrong with the little boy today? He seemed a little different. He was always dull, so why did he seem a little sharp today? Although he told me that he could not remember anything after the master hit him, I still could not get it. Nothing like that had ever happened before. I did not hear about anyone losing it when he got hit like that. We all got hit by the masters all the time, and we are still fine and kicking.
The look in his eyes was also different. Did the loss of his father and the near-death of his mother cause all this?
I only hope he would get out of this state and return to his usual self, or he would die as well. Although I promised his father to help them, I could not do more than what I already did. I could not involve myself more, or my family would get hurt because of me if I continued helping them more than that in the open.
Poor Cleon and Red Ant. I only hope that the little guys in my family would not cry a lot when their friends die. I know the master quite well, and I could say that they would get rid of Cleon and Red Ant sooner or later since they were that man's remaining family. For the masters, we are only goods that they could buy and sell whenever they wanted.
Perhaps, they only kept them here to prepare for more cruel punishment. The master had just come back from Yunkai today, and he would probably take a day or two before killing the two.
Huh, I should hurry and distance myself from the two in the next two days.

[Red Ant's POV]
Oh, my son. I am so sorry that I would have to leave you alone like that. Your father did not want you to live your life as a slave. I warned him at that time before he did anything, but he did not listen to me. And here I am going to follow him and leave you alone, Cleon.
Please, don't blame your mother. I wish you could live happily, but I knew that the master would not allow that. I can't do anything to help my son. Just how useless am I!!!
That was what I had been telling myself the past two days. Now, my son is in danger right now, but I still could not do anything.

When I laid my body on the ground, I shouted in my head to ask the system to open the quest board.
'Hurry up, system. Open the quest dashboard.' I shouted as I was ecstatic. This quest was the first time and the first quest I received in this world after I got the system. I hope that it would be something easy that would give a good reward.

I heard the system's words, and then a display screen opened in front of my eyes. The display screen was like this.

'I choose quest one.' I said to the system as I did not know how this whole thing worked.

I thought about how it would be more convenient If I could only think of it, and the system would open it by itself. Why would I always have to ask the system? Where is the good AI that I read about in the past? It is probably because of the system level. I should work on that.
Anyway, After the system's words, another window popped out.
