(Truck Horn Sounds)
'Truck-Kun, I'm not ready!!!'

"Welcome to the afterlife, young man."
A humanoid being with blindingly white light surrounding it speaks in front of me. Around me is a void. Not white or black. Nothing. It's odd.
"Thanks… ROB? Do you have an actual name?" I ask.
"Actually, my name is Robert. You can call me Rob if you want. Actually, I'm surprised you guessed my name. I'll give you a gift of my own once you move on."
"Move on?"
"Yeah, you're dead, kid. Sorry. Truck-Kun is pretty excited whenever he finds a candidate for reincarnation, he sometimes forgets to ask if the candidate actually wants it."
"Well, I can't say I was happy to leave when I did. I still had a lot of life in front of me… man, I'm already missing my family."
"About that, attachments aren't allowed in other worlds. I'll have to wipe out that part of you."
"Can you do it later? I want a little time to say goodbye to my family… I assume I can't say it in person, so I'll say bye in my heart."
"Of course. I'm not heartless. Although, it can't be that long, we have a schedule to maintain here."

"Okay, so what now?"
"Now, the world you go to is decided, along with what you will reincarnate with. A system, a power, an item… It could be anything useful. Anything would be useful though; I can guarantee that."
"How many things do I get?"
"Well, that depends on you. More specifically, your Karma. Unfortunately, you didn't lead a very long life, but you weren't a bad person… most of the time." He says looking at a long parchment of paper. "Looks like you get a gacha to decide the world and you get a gacha for the power you receive. If you had a little more Karma, I would have let you choose one. Let's hope your luck is good."
'I guess being a good person does have its rewards.'
"Pull the lever."
A lever appears suddenly in front of me, as well as a wheel with hundreds of world names on it. Anime, Sci-fi, Video Games. Anything imaginable, but it's all worlds that are at least a little familiar.

The wheel starts spinning at a blinding speed, and after what seems to be an eternity, it slows.

"Well, it seems you won't lack excitement. And there's a lot to learn and experience there. A good world for you. Say hi to Q for me. Now, your ability. Pull that lever again.
The gacha wheel blurs and the lever goes back to its original position.
I can see new options on the wheel. It seems to be divided between things like cultivation abilities, magic, and Esper powers.
It does the same things as I pull the lever, slowing down and eventually landing on…

'From that animated movie?!'
But then it clicks over one more onto 'Your Dreams.'
"Ah, very surprising. I thought you would have gotten something useless. But instead, it's something very good. You should be happy. Every ability or item you've ever owned in one of your dreams, whether it be during day or night will be given to you. This power will also give you what you dream about in the future, it's very similar to reality warping. It only requires a strong willpower. Now, about the thing I promised you. It's a System! Not one that will eventually give you unlimited power, but something to help you manage your new power. It'll have an inventory, a shop for items, and the occasional quest. Some addons can be purchased from the shop if you want. Also, if you want, I can convert your remaining Karma into Shop Points for you. It won't do you any good to keep them, your slate will be wiped clean when I put you in the new world."
"That's fine." I say, processing the info dump. "Oh, wait! One more thing. What will my body be? I don't think you'd let me use my old one?"
"You're right about that. I can let you choose your species, but that's it."
"That means that I could be female in my next life?"
"It's possible."
"If that does end up being true…, could you erase my memories of my sex from my past life. It would make it easier."
"Sure thing, now what species would you like?"
"Could I be a hybrid of a Vulcan and a Klingon? Except make my alien features much less prominent, more like a human. I don't want angled eyebrows and ridges on my forehead. Slightly pointy ears at most, you know?"
"I can tone it down a little for you, but are you certain? Both races are prone to violence and intense emotions. Combining them could turn out to be disastrous for you."
"I'm certain. And could you put me on the Vulcan home world? It would be good for me to learn to control myself."
"I could do that only as a favor. In return, I want you to play a prank on Q. It doesn't matter when, and it doesn't have to be a big one."
I smile. "That would be fun. Prank the prankster. I accept."
"Alright. I'll set it as a mission for you." He nods. "That's everything. You have your species, world, ability. I've already converted your karma for you. That should be everything. I'll wipe your attachments before you wake. I'll see you when you die."
He waves me goodbye and a sucking force pulls me into darkness.
