Capítulo 23: Heli

Stefan was busy in the kitchen cooking while keeping an eye on Li. He did not know that someone was about to discover his invisible house. Even if he knew, he had no qualms about it. Anyway, his house was in an invisible mode, and it's not like that person had the ability to disable it.

After fifteen minutes, when the cooking was almost done, he told Heli to appear from one of the rooms as a neighbor.

Heli quickly agreed and decided to appear in the room where Stefan has not checked earlier, otherwise, that little child would look at him with suspicion in his eyes.

A silhouette was forming slowly in the room, present in the corner. After that, the silhouette checked himself. He slowly stepped out of the room and came into the living room.

Aouli was playing on the sofa when he heard soft footsteps. He thought Stefan was coming, so he turned back with an excited and greedy look but froze when he saw an unknown person.

''Brother!'', he quickly got down from the sofa and ran towards the kitchen. After entering the kitchen, he hugged Stefan's thigh and hid behind him.

''What's the matter, Li?'', he asked.

''Brother, there is another person in our house. Aouli is scared'', he replied to Stefan in fear.

Stefan sighed, he could understand Li's fear. After all, he just lost his memory and has not been in much contact with other people. He hugged Aouli and walked towards the living room. He knew that the other person was Heli only.

That was why he did not worry about what that person would do. After he came in, he saw a person sitting, or rather a child of about fourteen years old sitting on the sofa.

The child had long black hair reaching his shoulders. He looked towards Stefan in excitement when he heard light footsteps, that obviously couldn't be that of a child.

''Host!'', Heli exclaimed in excitement after seeing Stefan with his green peach blossom eyes. His cheeks were flushed due to happiness and shyness.

In front of Stefan stood a young man with dark hair and green peach blossom eyes looking at him. He had thin eyebrows and an aquiline nose with high cheekbones. His skin was fair and glowed in the light. His full lips were red as blood and incredibly eye-catching. The youth looking at him was very beautiful.

Stefan was stunned for a moment and then reacted by putting Li down and walking in large strides toward Heli. ''You are here!~'', he said, giving Heli a hug.

''Let's quickly go and eat first, otherwise the noodles will become soggy'' because he knew that Heli had limited time, so he couldn't waste it on talking with him. He quickly walked to the kitchen and started serving the food on the dining table.

All three of them took their seats and were about to start eating when Stefan remembered, he didn't know anything about Li's eating habits. So, he decided to ask Li about it, ''Li~, do you eat with chopsticks or spoon?''

Li looked up at him and said sadly, ''l don't know how to eat with chopsticks brother'', he can't even taste the food Brother has made by himself. The more he thought about it, the more he became sad, and his eyes were quickly filled with tears.

Stefan wiped his tears, "lt's okay Li~, brother will feed you okay?'' while consoling, he suddenly remembered, his modern kitchen must have spoons and forks too, since he rarely used them sometimes when his classmates came to his house.

He comforted Li, by telling him that he had something with him, which, Li could use to eat by himself. Li was consoled and started urging Stefan to bring that thing.

Stefan walked towards the kitchen and thought, 'lt was my mistake that l did not consider this, after all, Li~ is still a child too he just woke and doesn't remember anything at all'.

He opened the drawer which contained spoons, forks, and porcelain plates, and took out two spoons and forks.

After giving one fork and spoon to Li, and taking the other pair for himself, he slowly demonstrated how to eat it. Li followed his brother's action and inserted the fork in the bowl of noodles and rotated them clockwise. Afterward, he ate the noodles from the bowl and then copied Stefan to scoop a spoonful of soup and drink it together.

''So delicious!!!'', after saying that, he couldn't stop himself from continuing to eat and completely ignored the outside world.

Stefan took a look towards Heli and they both snickered together, seeing Li's attitude towards the noodles.

Heli was not too surprised by noodles, as, he already knew most of the background of the modern world. But, he only knew the common knowledge of the modern world, nothing more than that. Otherwise, he could have just helped Stefan know the reason for the loss of his memories.

Heli shook his head and thought bitterly, 'lf only l could help Host!'....., then he abruptly remembered that he forgot to ask Stefan about his pass-out episode.

He asked while eating the delicious noodles, ''Host, what happened to you earlier? Why did you faint?''

Stefan stiffened while eating and after swallowing the food replied to Heli, ''lt's nothing, l just got a glimpse of my past'', '' before my death'', he whispered.

....

Meanwhile, somewhere deep in the forest, a girl was fighting vigorously. A group of monsters were surrounding her and took turns attacking her. She looked exhausted, and her white clothes were dirtied with mud and blood.

Despite being tired, her eyes still contained an unwavering will and shone with brightness. Though she hoped someone could help her, she also knew that no one will come so deep inside the forest to risk their lives.

Still, she hoped that the person who came should be powerful enough to help her and not become her burden. She was already exhausted and did not want to risk her life. While she was distracted in her thoughts, a monster took the opportunity to sneak attack her. Her arm immediately had blood gushing out of it.

Although because of the protection spell applied to her dress, helped her take some damage, she was still injured albeit not too deeply. Her almost white and pale skin contrasted against the blood pouring out of her wound.

She let out a ''hiss..'' and tried to cast a healing spell on her wound, but, it failed because she did not have much mana left in her body.

Time was ticking, and she had no time to treat her wound. One after another, monsters were attacking from all her blind sides. She quickly took out a healing potion and used it sparingly. She was very reluctant to use this precious potion, but, she had no choice now. Her life was on the line, and she couldn't care much about it now.
