Capítulo 33: Chapter 33: Leaving Konoha

Boruto let out a loud yawn and sat down on the ground, his eyes heavy with exhaustion. On his wrist was a bracelet, which he transformed Samehada into using his Jutsu.

The New Seven Ninja Swordsman were all tied up and unconscious, lying on the ground in front of him. Boruto looked around, his gaze searching for the Mizukage. "Where is the Mizukage?" he asked, his voice filled with impatience.

Suddenly, Mitsuki appeared out of nowhere, a small smile on his face. "You're late, Mitsuki. I already did all the work," Boruto said, his tone sarcastic.

Mitsuki just chuckled, looking at the unconscious bodies on the ground. "The Mizukage will arrive shortly after handling the people that support these guys," he said, his voice calm and collected.

Boruto let out a sigh of relief. "Oh, I guess I can sleep a bit," he said, leaning his head back against the wall and closing his eyes. He was exhausted after the intense battle, and the thought of resting for a while was comforting.

Mitsuki stood there for a moment, watching his friend sleep. He knew that Boruto had a lot on his mind, and he couldn't help but feel a sense of admiration for him.

After a few minutes, the Mizukage, the previous Mizukage, and the Anbu arrived at the scene. Mitsuki had already left the place, leaving Boruto to face the group alone.

"Mizukage, is this all of the swords? We are missing one," the Anbu said, his voice filled with concern.

"It's okay, we have promised to give one to someone," Chojuro replied, looking at Boruto with a smile.

The Anbu turned his attention to Boruto, his eyes filled with suspicion. "I understand. I hope this decision won't hurt our village's reputation," he said, his tone cautious.

"This won't hurt us. In fact, it will make our connection with Konoha stronger than ever before," Chojuro reassured him, his voice firm and resolute.

Meanwhile, Boruto was having a conversation with Mei, the Fifth Mizukage. "Are you keeping your promise?" he asked, his tone serious.

"Of course, I am," Mei replied, a small smile on her lips. "I'm surprised you were able to handle all of them on your own. Your father did teach you right."

Boruto let out a small chuckle. "Eh, he really didn't teach me. I had to look for a teacher. Anyway, I'm heading back to my room to get some sleep," he said, his voice filled with exhaustion.

"Where is it?" Mei asked, her curiosity piqued.

Boruto raised his hand and shook his wrist, where a bracelet was located. "It's right here," he said, a small smile on his lips.

Mei smiled back at him. "Have a good night's sleep," she said, her voice warm and comforting.

Boruto nodded his head in agreement, before walking out of the building and heading towards his room. He was exhausted after the intense battle, and the thought of getting some rest was a welcome relief.

After the intense battle, Boruto decided to take a walk around the shop to buy souvenirs for his family. He wanted to show his love and appreciation for them, and what better way to do that than with thoughtful gifts?

First, he bought a cute necklace for his little sister, Himawari. Next, he bought a beautiful bracelet for his mother, Hinata.

For his father, Naruto, Boruto decided to buy a book on how to style hair better. He knew that his dad always struggled with his hair, and he wanted to help him out. For his aunt Hanabi, Boruto bought a cozy scarf.

But when it came to his grandfather, Hiashi, Boruto was stumped. He didn't know what to buy for him. After wandering around the shop for a while, he finally settled on a pocket watch. He hoped that his grandfather would appreciate the classic and timeless gift.

After finishing his shopping, Boruto headed back to his room. Inojin, his roommate, was surprised to see him return so late.

"Where did you go? Usually, you return early," Inojin asked.

"I was buying some souvenirs for my family," Boruto replied with a smile.

Inojin nodded his head in understanding. "I forgot about that. I'm heading out to buy some too," he said before leaving the room.

Boruto smiled to himself as he unpacked his gifts. He couldn't wait to see the reactions of his family when he gave them their presents.

The following day,

After the intense battle with the thieves, Boruto and his classmates finally headed back to the ship to return home. As they walked towards the port, they saw the previous Mizukage standing there with a few shinobi who had put up a banner that read "Come visit again". Boruto waved back at the Mizukage, and Mei waved back with a warm smile.

After a few hours of sailing, Boruto and his classmates finally arrived back at Konoha. Boruto walked back to his home and knocked on the door. Himawari opened the door and jumped into Boruto's arms, giving him a tight hug.

"Did you buy souvenirs for me?" Himawari asked excitedly.

"I did, but let me rest first," Boruto replied with a grin.

"Okay," Himawari said as she walked back inside the house.

Boruto entered the house and took off his shoes, putting them on the rack. As he walked towards the bathroom, he said to his mother, "I also bought you a souvenir, Kaa-san."

Hinata was surprised to hear that and said, "Okay." She couldn't wait to see what Boruto had brought back for her.

After taking a refreshing shower, Boruto went to his room and unpacked his souvenirs.

Boruto eagerly handed over the souvenirs to his mother and sister, Hinata and Himawari. They both smiled brightly, and Himawari hugged Boruto tightly.

"Hima-chan, I know you love me, but I still have to give the other souvenirs to Tou-san, Oji-chan, and Hanabi-nee," Boruto said, gently separating from the hug.

Himawari broke the hug and said, "Thank you, Onii-chan. I will treasure it."

Boruto ruffled her hair and turned to his mother, asking, "Do you like the gift that I gave you?"

"I love it," Hinata replied, already wearing the bracelet on her wrist.

"After I give the gifts, I'll head back to eat, okay?" Boruto said.

Boruto quickly made his way to the Hyuga area and headed straight to the Hyuga Mansion. His grandfather, Hiashi, was surprised to see Boruto there all of a sudden.

"Good to see my cute grandson," Hiashi said, hugging Boruto, who reciprocated.

"Here's my gift that I bought for you while I was on a field trip in the Land of Water," Boruto said, handing over a pocket watch.

Hiashi smiled and rubbed Boruto's head. "Thank you."

"Where is Hanabi-nee?" Boruto asked.

"She hasn't returned from her mission yet," Hiashi said. "Did you buy a gift for her too?"

"Yes, but if she's not here, I can wait until she returns," Boruto said.

Just then, Hanabi appeared behind him, hugging Boruto from behind and putting her arm around him. "Did you get me a gift?" she asked.

"Yes, I have," Boruto said.

Hanabi separated from the hug, and Boruto said, "Hanabi-nee, go down a bit lower. I want to put it on you."

"Okay," Hanabi said, putting one of her legs down. Boruto put the scarf around Hanabi's neck, and she caressed his cheeks, saying, "It's nice. Thank you, Boruto."

Boruto smiled as he saw the sun setting down. "I'll be heading home as I promised my mother that I'll eat food with her today. Bye, see you guys soon." He waved goodbye.

As Boruto made his way to the Hokage building, he waved goodbye to his family members, Hanabi and Hiashi, who were standing outside the Hyuga Mansion. He felt a sense of contentment and happiness, knowing that he had made his family members happy with the gifts he had given them.

As he entered the Hokage building, he went straight to Naruto's office, where he found him buried under a pile of paperwork. "Boruto? Do you need something? I'm busy," Naruto said, his voice laced with exhaustion.

Boruto smiled and said, "I just wanted to give you a gift, Tou-san." He handed over a book that he had bought for Naruto from the Land of Water.

Naruto was pleasantly surprised and grateful for the gift. "Thank you, Boruto. This means a lot to me," he said, his face lighting up with a smile.

As Boruto was about to leave, he couldn't resist making a sarcastic comment about Naruto's spiky hairstyle. "Hokage should have a better hairstyle and not let your hair become like Gaara-san's hair," he said with a chuckle.

Naruto couldn't help but laugh at his son's comment, and even Shikamaru, who had just entered the room, joined in. "Your son is right, Naruto. You should change your hairstyle," he said, grinning.

On the following day,

"Boruto, the Hokage wants to meet you," Shino informed him, looking up from his desk.

Boruto jumped down from his seat and landed gracefully in front of Shino. "Okay, I'll head there right away," he said.

As he left the room, his friends began to speculate about the reason for the Hokage's summons. Shikadai commented, "It must be something related to the field trip. Boruto is the only one who goes out every day and comes back late to the room."

Mitsuki smiled, agreeing with Shikadai's observation. "Perhaps," he said, not revealing anything.

Metal suggested another possibility. "Or maybe it's about the time when Iwabe beat the other student from the Mist Academy," he said, causing Iwabe to feel guilty.

Inojin chimed in, "And Boruto is the one who let it happen, so he might be in trouble."

Iwabe stood up from his seat, feeling guilty. "Why should he be the one going to meet the Hokage if that's the case?" he asked.

Mitsuki interjected, "It's not about that."

Shikadai looked at Mitsuki curiously and asked, "Do you know something?"

Mitsuki just smiled mysteriously, not revealing anything more.

Hokage Office,

Boruto entered the Hokage's office, greeting his father with a casual "Yo, Tou-san." However, Naruto was not amused, and he sighed heavily. "Don't 'Yo, Tou-san' me. What did you do?" he asked, looking at his son with a mixture of frustration and concern.

Shikamaru, who was also present in the room, rubbed his forehead in annoyance. "You and your father always make problems," he muttered.

"Hey!" Naruto protested.

Boruto shrugged, unfazed by their reactions. "I asked for Samehada," he said, showing them the wristband that held the sentient sword.

Shikamaru raised an eyebrow. "Do you know how dangerous it is to keep Samehada unsealed?" he asked, clearly worried.

Boruto nodded. "Yes, I'm feeding him my chakra as we speak," he said confidently.

Shikamaru shook his head. "Why are you being so reckless?" he asked, exasperated.

Boruto shrugged again. "With Samehada, I can increase my chakra reserve even more. It's an investment for both of us," he explained.

Shikamaru sighed, clearly frustrated with Boruto's recklessness. "Somehow, you're even more reckless than your dad. I thought you would follow your mom's example," he said.

Boruto rolled his eyes. "Is that all?" he asked, clearly unimpressed.

Naruto spoke up, curious about how Boruto had managed to make a deal with Mei Terumi, the former Mizukage. "How did you even manage to make a deal with Mei-san?" he asked.

Boruto shrugged again, not wanting to reveal too much. "It was just a coincidence," he said.

Shikamaru noticed something else and asked, "Are you still wearing Uchiha Shin's eyes?"

Boruto nodded. "Why wouldn't I?" he asked.

Boruto then brought up a bone of contention. "And another thing, why am I not a Jonin at this point?" he demanded.

Shikamaru and Naruto hesitated, unsure of how to respond to Boruto's question. "You're still young," Shikamaru said, trying to placate him.

Boruto was not satisfied with that answer. "Rokudaime was young during his time when he became a Genin. Just let me graduate. I'm tired of playing student," he said, frustration evident in his voice. "I've stopped a coup d'etat in the Land of Water, and one of them was a Jonin. I've killed multiple war clones. What requirements do I need to fulfill at this point?"

Shikamaru and Naruto exchanged hesitant glances, taken aback by Boruto's unexpected declaration. The weight of his words hung heavy in the air, leaving them both unsure of how to respond. Boruto's bold statement about quitting being a shinobi and traveling the world caught them off guard.

Curiosity piqued, Boruto turned to his father and Shikamaru, eager to hear their thoughts. "So, what are your choices?" he inquired, his voice laced with a mix of determination and frustration.

Shikamaru, always the strategist, took a moment to gather his thoughts before offering a compromise. "Just give us three more years, Boruto. We'll work on expediting your graduation," he proposed, hoping to find a middle ground that would satisfy Boruto's desire for growth while keeping him connected to the shinobi world.

Unswayed by Shikamaru's suggestion, Boruto remained resolute. "I'm leaving," he stated firmly, his tone leaving no room for negotiation.

Undeterred, Shikamaru made one last attempt to persuade Boruto. "Wait just two more years, Boruto. We can make it happen," he pleaded, his voice tinged with concern.

Boruto, however, had made up his mind. "Nah, you can go ahead and remove my name from the Academy, Dad. I feel foolish for even listening to you guys. Goodbye. I'll see you all in a few years," he declared, his words laced with a hint of bitterness as he walked away from the room.

Naruto, witnessing his son's departure, felt a surge of urgency. Moving with lightning speed, he appeared in front of Boruto just as he stepped out of the Hokage's office. Desperation filled his voice as he reached out to grab Boruto's forearm. "Boruto, please think about our family," he pleaded, his grip tightening.

Boruto met his father's gaze, his expression resolute. "Do you think I haven't thought about our family, Dad? That's exactly why I'm making this decision. The system is stifling my growth. So, with that, I'll see you in the future," he said, gently pulling his hand away from Naruto's grasp.

Naruto's heart sank as he realized the depth of his son's conviction. "But what about Hinata and Himawari?" he asked, his voice laced with concern.

Boruto's response was tinged with a mix of confidence and resignation. "They'll understand, just like they understand Sasuke-san's work. Goodbye, Dad," he said, his voice filled with finality, as he turned to leave.

Naruto stood there, torn between stopping his son and letting him go. He clenched his fists, feeling the weight of his decision. "Hinata is not going to like this," he muttered to himself, his mind racing with thoughts of how to explain this to his wife.

Unbeknownst to Naruto, Tenten had overheard the entire conversation. Just finishing a mission, she stood there, her surprise evident on her face. The rash decision made by Boruto left her stunned, contemplating the implications it would have on their lives and the future of the shinobi world.

Uzumaki Household,

Boruto had just returned from the Hokage Building and was packing his belongings in his room. Hinata, his mother, heard the commotion and entered the room to investigate. "What are you doing?" she asked with a hint of concern in her voice.

Boruto replied with a nonchalant tone, "Travelling."

Hinata's eyebrows furrowed as she asked, "Did you have your father's permission? And for how long?"

Boruto hesitated for a moment before saying, "For a few years, and no, I don't have his permission."

Hinata's eyes widened in shock as she asked, "Are you leaving the house?"

Boruto nodded his head, "Yes, my strength will stagnate if I stay here any longer." He finished packing and slung his travel bag over his shoulder.

Hinata couldn't help but ask, "Why are you so obsessed with strength? Naruto didn't have that obsession."

Boruto's expression darkened as he replied, "Every power that he has was always fed by someone else. I don't want that. I need to get stronger as fast as possible."

Hinata's heart broke as she heard her son's words. "All for power that you're willing to leave the family?" she asked, her voice trembling.

Boruto tried to reassure his mother, "I'm just travelling. I will return back. It's not that big of a deal."

Hinata's emotions got the best of her as she outburst, "It's not that big of a deal?! You are still a child, Boruto, and my child!"

Boruto paused for a moment, realizing the impact his decision had on his mother. He walked over to her and hugged her tightly. "I promise to come back, Mom. And when I do, I'll be stronger than ever before."

Himawari watched the exchange between her mother and brother with a heavy heart. She couldn't bear to see her family torn apart. "I'm an adult, Kaa-san. I can take care of myself," Boruto insisted, trying to assert his independence.

Hinata's Byakugan activated as she replied, "No, you are not leaving."

Boruto refused to back down, "I am leaving."

Hinata was not willing to let him go so easily, "If you are leaving, put the bag down. That bag that you are carrying was bought using my money. You are not leaving until you graduate."

Boruto reluctantly put down his bag and tried to leave through the entrance, but Hinata blocked his path. "Kaa-san, do you have to make it hard for me?" he pleaded.

Hinata stood firm, "Yes, you are my son. I'm not letting my son make careless decisions."

Boruto's frustration boiled over as he used his Sharingan to cast a Genjutsu on his mother, causing her to fall unconscious. He caught her before she hit her head and placed her on his bed.

Boruto kissed Hinata's forehead and whispered, "I'll see you in the future, okay? I love you, Kaa-san, after all happens."

Himawari watched in shock as her brother used his Sharingan on their mother. She had never seen him use it before. Boruto noticed her at the entrance and walked up to her, kneeling down to rub her head. "How are you, Himawari?"

Tears welled up in Himawari's eyes as she asked, "Are you leaving, Onii-chan?"

Boruto nodded, "Unfortunately, yes, I am."

Himawari couldn't hold back her emotions any longer, "Why do you have to leave? Just stay here with me."

Boruto's expression softened as he explained, "I have to. To protect our family. Tou-san and Kaa-san don't know about it, but the world will be destroyed if I don't go. But always remember my words, keep smiling even if your heart bleeds. I love you, Himawari."

Himawari hugged Boruto tightly, crying on his shoulder. Boruto let her cry until she fell asleep, carrying her to her bed and tucking her in. "Grow up big and strong, okay? As I won't be here to protect you," he whispered, kissing her forehead one last time before leaving.

Boruto left the village of Konoha that day, his heart heavy with the weight of the world on his shoulders. He had always known that one day he would have to leave his home behind, but he never thought it would be so soon. The thought of leaving his family and friends behind filled him with a deep sadness that he couldn't shake.

As he made his way towards the village gates, he heard the sound of footsteps running towards him. He turned to see Tenten, one of his former sensei's, approaching him with a small smile on her face.

"Boruto, wait!" she called out, her voice breathless from running.

"Tenten-sensei?" Boruto asked in surprise. "What are you doing here?"

Tenten smiled at him, her eyes filled with warmth and kindness. "I heard that you were leaving, and I wanted to give you something before you go."

She reached into her bag and pulled out a small scroll, handing it to Boruto with a gentle smile. "This is our parting gift to you," she said.

Boruto looked at the scroll in confusion, wondering what could be inside. "What is it?" he asked Tenten curiously.

Tenten shook her head, her eyes twinkling mischievously. "That's a secret," she said. "But I promise it will come in handy on your journey."

Boruto looked at her in surprise, feeling a sense of gratitude towards his former sensei. "Thank you, Tenten-sensei," he said, his voice filled with emotion.

Tenten smiled at him, her eyes filled with pride. "You're going to do great things, Boruto," she said. "Just remember that we're all here for you, no matter where you go."

Boruto nodded, feeling a sense of comfort in her words. "I'll come back to Konoha someday," he said. "Until then, thank you for everything, Tenten-sensei."

With a wave goodbye, Boruto turned and left the village.

Hokage Office,

Shikamaru looked at Naruto with concern, his brow furrowed in thought. "Are you sure that's the best decision, Naruto?" he asked. "Leaving Boruto out there on his own, it's not safe."

Naruto sighed, his eyes filled with sadness. "I know it's not ideal, Shikamaru," he said. "But I truly believe that this is the best course of action. If we keep him in the village, he'll only become more rebellious and resentful. He needs to learn to fend for himself, to grow and mature on his own terms."

Kurama, spoke up. "You're underestimating your son, Naruto. He's capable of surviving on his own. You should trust him."

Naruto bristled at Kurama's words, feeling a surge of anger rise within him. "What do you know?" he snapped. "You don't understand what it's like to be a parent, to worry about your child's safety."

Kurama chuckled softly. "I may not be a parent, Naruto, but I've lived longer than you. Trust me, Boruto will come back when he's ready. You just have to wait and be patient."

Shikamaru cleared his throat, interrupting their conversation. "But at least you've sent a clone to watch over him, right?" he asked.

Naruto nodded, his expression serious. "I have," he said as then he got his clone memory "But he managed to teleport away using his Sharingan. I don't know where he is now."

Kurama spoke up again, his voice calm and reassuring. "Don't worry, Naruto. Boruto will return when he's ready. Just give him time to find his own way."

Naruto and Shikamaru exchanged a worried glance, unsure of what to do next.

Uchiha Shin Hideout,

With a soft sigh, Boruto emerged from the teleportation, his eyes scanning the familiar surroundings. He muttered under his breath, "Tch, I don't need an observer watching my every move. It's time to change my plan."

He was heading to the Land of Demons, but first, he needed to ensure he wouldn't be recognized. With a swift hand motion, he initiated the transformation Jutsu, his appearance morphing into that of a mature man with a head full of black hair.

Boruto examined his new reflection in a nearby pond, taking in the unfamiliar features. He looked older, more rugged, and his once blonde hair was now a deep black. He also let his eyes be black as he doesn't want to be caught by someone.

"This should do," he said to himself, a determined glint in his eyes.
