With her passion, he could easily see her becoming one of those traveling photographers who worked for National Geographic or something. He would never see her that way even if he did manage to get on friendlier terms with her again!

He didn't want that. He wanted to keep her light with him forever.

Jasper would happily give her anything she wanted other than her freedom. Because that would mean she left him behind.

He didn't used to think it was possible for a single person to affect him this much. He had never cared what anyone at school or work thought of him. He was used to their fear. But now he hated how intimidating he was. It was driving April further away from him.
