Ava sighed and sunk further into the bubbles. Her thoughts were going around in circles. Thinking all of this through wasn't helping her at all.
She sat there until the water went cold and still hadn't managed to sort through her thoughts and feelings about anything. She pulled herself out, dried off, changed into her pajamas, and brushed her teeth before trudging to her room without a word to anyone.
She meant to flop backwards onto her bed but hit someone on the way down so she was leaning against their chest. That really hurt! She looked up indignantly and saw Zeldris's yellow eyes flash with guilt.
"Zel, what are you doing in my room?" she asked wearily.
"I thought you could use more hugs. You obviously aren't okay after what happened earlier and I feel partially responsible for being the one to blast the deck out from under you. Take what you need before you go to bed," he insisted.
