Capítulo 397: The Worst-Case Scenario

Hailey had been absolutely terrified from the moment she found out she was pregnant. This had never been part of the plan!

She could stick to Dallin's side like glue to stay under Pepper's protection but that wouldn't work with a kid! They couldn't have a normal life if they were constantly with their parents. 

What about school? What about work? What about growing up and having normal experiences and going off to live on their own someday? None of that would work without a second Pepper but she was one of a kind. 

With two beacon parents, this poor child's fate was sealed. It would be better for it not to be born at all but Hailey couldn't just abort it either. It was her only biological relative.

Seven years of normal life and then nothing but living in fear and struggling to survive. No one deserved that.
