Ava wasn't expecting Zeldris to sigh and look at her more seriously than he ever had. That expression made her heart skip a beat.

"Ava, you're missing the big picture here. Has it really never occurred to you WHY I don't want to share you with anyone? Yeah, demons are territorial, but it was never just because I didn't get along with the elf or fairy. 

"It's because of you. You make me feel things I didn't even think were possible. I stayed partly because I was worried about you being on your own but mostly because I just wanted to be near you. You make me happy and that freaked me out at first because that wasn't something I was used to. 

"So you don't need someone else to love you. I already do. At least as much as I'm capable of. I'll do whatever you need me to in order to stay with you. If you want to go on dates, I'll take you! Just don't leave me behind. Please."
