"Fletcher, what are you going to do about your wife?" Lexi asked one day a couple of months after he had gotten married.
"What do you mean?" he asked with his mouth full of brownie Sadie had given him.
"She's gone way above and beyond what any contract wife should do and you still haven't made a move. Honestly! It's getting hard to watch."
"I thought you didn't like her."
"She's not as bad as I thought," Lexi admitted begrudgingly. "I don't understand why she's jumped into being a part of this family so wholeheartedly but it doesn't seem like she's out to get us."
"Told you."
"Do YOU know why she has? Since you were the one who was convinced from the beginning."
"Obviously."
"But you're not going to tell me."
"It's her business," Fletcher said with a shrug.
