"Should I assume last night had been fruitful?" His friend gruffly commented as he entered his office without waiting for an invitation.

Travis went straight ahead to his sofa and lay down as if hungover. Oh! Yep! He just remembered that his friend was drunk as a skunk last night.

His friend immediately closed his eyes and went silent. But he knew his friend was not sleeping, far from it. His friend seemed to be in deep thought.

"As a matter of fact..." He smugly smiled. "...it was," Damon admitted as much, seeing no point in denying it. 

His friend must have also noticed the broad grin on his face. He could not help it as he felt like he just hit the lottery, but money had nothing to do with it.

He tried to ignore his friend for a few minutes as he finished the task he had on his desk. Besides, he seemed contented to be in his private world. If his friend needed anything, he would have already said it.
