He should be home, dining with his family and guests. But he ended up being the designated driver for his friends. Fortunately, he had his driver with him. 

He instructed Ed to drive his friend home in his friend's car. He could not drop Travis at his house while offering Jessica a ride since his friend lived across town while Jessica was in the opposite direction.

"Let's go, Jessica. It is time to go home." Damon helped his female friend out of her seat and the bar and into his awaiting car. 

Under another circumstance, he would not bother to take Jessica home. He would easily ask one of his security to drive her back to her hotel room.

But after the day, she had, or more likely, the years she had stayed married to her unworthy husband. He knew he could not just leave her alone.
