Some time ago…
"Where's Hopi?" Frey asked as soon as he woke up after the fight with Ashtehar.
Wade stepped forward and put a hand on Frey's shoulder: "He..didn't make it."
Oliver pulled his knees to his chest. "I'm sorry. I could only save one."
'Oh,' Frey thought. He wandered out of sight of the others, further away from the section of the forest that had been lit on fire, where Hopi's corpse was. 'They had to save one,' he thought. 'That means if I hadn't charged out of the formation, Oliver could have saved Hopi. If I had just restrained myself a little more or if I had been stronger, this wouldn't have happened.'
Back to the present…
Everyone have a good Holloween? No? Stupid virus.
Fun fact, I used to be extremely into holloween. I would go around with a pillow sac and choose who I trick or treat with based off speed. I would have to make trips back to the house to empty the full pillow case and then go out again. After finishing the night, me and my friends would have a dodgeball fight but with the candies we hated, and trade candy with each other for ones we liked. Good times when my body could handle candy.
Just remember this thing is not going to last forever. Screw this year. I hate it. The next one can't come soon enough.
Oh I guess the fight was awesome to write.
