A young lady walked out from the forest. She was dressed in black, and her hair was tied up. Her body figure was beautiful and her skin was fair. She had very nice features. She was still in the forest when she spoke earlier, but, she was already in front of them in a blink of an eye.
The mussel was agitated, "Master!" If there was anyone who did not know who was in the forest, they should be clear by now.
It was Gu Xijiu! The main character which they were gossiping about earlier. The Lord’s disciple and the celebrity who they looked down on.
Apparently, they did not expect her arrival. Thus, everyone was shocked and became stiff.
Qian Lingyu's eyes were shining, but his face blushed when Gu Xijiu looked at him. He did not come forward but subconsciously moved backward. He was also an arrogant person; he did not want her to see how embarrassed he was. However, the mussel did not understand embarrassment. Its shell was left opened widely, and it regained its aura, "Look! This is my master! Repeat what you have just said earlier if you have the guts!"
The teenagers remained silent.
Gu Xijiu smiled, "It’s fine, I’ve heard it all. Can’t believe all the top students from the Ziyun class liked to gossip behind peoples backs. Hmmm, and they were gossiping about The Lord!"
The teenagers were initially mad, but now they were scared!
Qian Lingtian snarled, "We didn’t gossip about The Lord!"
"Are you sure?" Gu Xijiu frowned, "Are you sure you didn’t say The Lord is biased!?"
Qian Lingtian was speechless. His tongue was stuck. They did mention that The Lord was biased at some point. Another teenager laughed coldly, "Gu Xijiu, stop bullshitting. We were talking about you!"
"But you’ve also mentioned about The Lord right?" Gu Xijiu talked slowly and shook the audio recorder in her hand, "Don’t worry, I won't simply talk in front of The Lord, I’ll just play this audio for him once."
Everyone was anxious!
"Gu Xijiu, are you only capable of making The Lord as your shield? If you’re really so great, let’s fight!" One of the teenagers shouted.
Gu Xijiu smiled and then frowned, "I have The Lord as my supporter, why would I need to fight with you?"
This phrase was so mean! They were even madder now. "Gu Xijiu, could you just grow up and act like a man!? Fight with your own power instead of leveraging on someone else's!" A young man added.
Gu Xijiu frowned again and smiled, "Do you think I need to be like a man? I'm a girl. Do you think I am leveraging on The Lord's power? Since you think I am, I might as well make it true so that you don't waste your effort gossiping."
The teenagers had nothing to fight back and were all looking at each other. After all, they were just a group of kids despite being the top students among the geniuses. Most of them were born from into wealthy families and got whatever they wanted. Although life was tough since they came to the Tianju Hall, they still lacked social experience. They could not compete with Gu Xijiu who had so many experiences before.
Gu Xijiu was not a talkative person as she just did not like to talk crap. However, when she spoke, she went straight to the point and would not leave any room for arguments.
Message from author:
Alright, that's all for today. Tomorrow onward would have a more interesting stories and we will update every night from 8pm-9pm.
Kiss!
Since she stepped out from the forest, she had silenced them. Although they were still very upset with her, they could not fight back.
Gu Xijiu took a glimpse of them and spoke, "Actually I'm really curious, where did you get to know all those gossips if the Tianju Hall is isolated from the outside world?"
"Hmph! It’s better not to do it if you don’t want it to be known. All your news has been spread throughout the mainland!" One of the teenagers twitched his mouth.
"Then who is the one who told you these?"
All the teenagers frowned one after another, "Don’t bother to ask as we wouldn’t tell you. Anyway, people wouldn’t simply create a story."
"You’re right. It has nothing to do with where we heard it from."
...
They began to judge and criticize again.
Gu Xijiu listened to their conversation patiently and suddenly said, "You only heard it from someone else, but have you really seen it by yourself?"
"So, do you mean what we heard isn't the truth?"
"Exactly…"
The teenagers began to argue again and felt they were like heroes with a good sense of justice.
Gu Xijiu smiled sarcastically as she realized the keyboard warriors were everywhere regardless of the dynasty. They were either talking nonsense randomly in the cyber era or simply spreading untrue scandals in this period.
It seems like everything about her has been spread all around the school. Tianju Hall was isolated. Hence, the students could not simply go out. Therefore, they were not supposed to know so much, unless someone was trying to get her into trouble and get the rest to boycott her.
Anyway, rumors were unstoppable and unexplainable. The more she explained, the worse it became. Therefore, Gu Xijiu did not plan to explain anything to them. However, someone asked, "Gu Xijiu, do you dare to say those rumors are untrue? Do you dare to swear that your siblings’ deaths had nothing to do with you? And do you dare to say that it was not you who caused the fall of Gu family?"
Gu Xijiu smiled and asked, "When A had killed B, you only see B is dead. However, have you wondered why B was killed? Perhaps, he died from a fight, or he died from a robbery, or maybe he was really a bastard who had done many bad things in the first place? So, A killed B to punish B on behalf of God. You guys only saw the result, but never bothered to ask the process. Even if you had seen everything by yourself, it could be completely different if you don't interpret it properly. What more if you only simply heard it from someone who didn't know the truth!"
The teenagers remained silent.
Gu Xijiu blew her fingers and said calmly, "Perhaps, you think you have a very good sense of justice, but who knows you are just unknowingly helping someone to achieve their personal goals…"
The teenagers were speechless.
Gu Xijiu was cleaning her fingernails and suddenly realized she was behaving as though she was ‘possessed’ by a discipline teacher while teaching the kids a lesson. Naive kids were not easy to teach, especially those who were talented.
And now, these naive kids did not dare to speak anymore. She had no idea whether they had learned their lesson, but she did not even bother to know.
She walked towards the mussel and then looked at Qian Lingyu who was still looking at her. She asked, "Hey guys, tell me what’s going on?"
Qian Lingyu did not really want to talk about it. However, the mussel acted as though it has seen its maternity family and told her every single detail. In fact, it was a very simple incident. The mussel was hunting, and so was Qian Lingyu...
