meh... I only got to chapter 20, the mc is too passive and let's everyone control what he does. he is a simp and becomes a little puppy in front of girls. don't let the first interaction fool you, he does not stand up for himself or his friends. the whole entrance to the school is junk. how is he just going to be ok after being lied to and forced to take a path he doesn't want? and he convinced himself it was OK. so dumb, then everyone somehow knows who he is? I understand that they are supposed to be 16yo, but everything just seems to forced.
mecha fights are crazy and the ending was not as predictable very good story for here
TLDR; Overall the novel fools you into reading meaningless back to back battles for 90% of the novel. So many filler battles My new review after finishing reading this novel. Here's the setting of the story as how I can infer it cause the author doesn't talk in exhaustive detail. Basically the ancient Chinese cultivators from Earth with their techniques and tech conquer the Milky Way Galaxy millennia before the story takes place with every human despite millennia of separation all(about 99%) share Chinese names as if China conquered Earth cleansing all other ethnicities for one ethnicity. Most named characters have a personality and the progression of the MC is satisfying. But after finishing reading this I can say about 90% of the novel is just the MC participating in Tournaments and anything outside of that like "Wars", training, or spending time with friends amount to a dozen or two chapters each time the MC takes a break from the tournaments which each can take up to almost 100 chapters which can get old fast, so I started skipping chapters for any other team or teamate that wasn't the MC as it didn't matter honestly. Until the last few rounds of the last tournament the MC is always looked at as the underdog just, so he can without fail cause an upset when he thrashes his opponent inevitably as the MC in this novel is never supposed to lose and even the author sets up a sure-fire lose for the MC the MC gets a lame-a*s plot armor to save him. Towards the last 100 chapters the author finally had enough and set the pace of the novel at light speed where after being quasi-heaven rank struggling and cheating death when being ganked by a group attack of 4 slightly weaker ops and getting railgunned from orbit he gets plot armored where after single-handedly holding off an invasion with his op last resort godly mech he hibernates to enter heaven rank where even being a new Heaven rank was able to effortlessly slaughter 3 opposing Heaven rank mech pilots with the reason being he understood a realm no other Heaven rank could making him "unfathomable" and feared by every other nation all within.
Revelar Spoiler Some bad translations here and there. Every character has some personality that makes them stand out. There's occasionally some smooth brained face slapping incidents. Pretty satisfying rate of progression in MCs power. So, basically humanity with aid of "cultivation techniques" and tech has colonized most of the Milky Way Galaxy forming a number of Alliances, Federations, and Empires with the Solar System Federation made up of Earth, the Moon, Mars being the metaphorical center of Humanity's power. But due to some Galaxy Wide phenomenon caused by the balance of the galaxy being broken cultivation techniques went inert causing cultivators to lose their powers and go insane dying. Powers that weren't apart of the cultivator class stole the cultivation techniques hoarding them for their families and organizations. Moving on there's is some funny happenstances where every power that colonized parts of the galaxy building their own Empires over the course of thousands of years during the "Interstellar Voyage Era" are ALL ancient cultivator families hence 9/10 of the names for Humans throughout the entire Galaxy have Chinese names and if not then its some abbreviated version of a Chinese name or a nickname. Are we supposed to infer that the Chinese are the only ethnicity of the human race? Though looking back I remember an incident around chapter 500 on Titatitan Star where MCs " the 36D"(that's her nickname no cap) female squad lead was being harassed by a "dark-skinned" guy. What I'm getting at is that the MC could be meeting a human who originates from a power many light years away from Earth with genetic diversity that's been separated from Earth for many millennia's and still have a Chinese name. What, did the Chinese conquer all of Earth cleansing all so that only the Chinese remained lol? In the story whenever Earth is talked about it's always "mysterious" this or "ancient techniques of Earth" that like only the Chinese culture exists and is acknowledged on Earth.

Good start but as the story goes on author keeps repeating the story with a minor twist. So much potential wasted. The ending was BAD! Everything was rush with no sense of fulfillment.

Compared to the last book this one focuses greatly on character development. Must say it's really my cup of tea, the characters are pretty unique and while most were one dimensional they slowly gain life. All in all, it is a story with many protagonists.

This is honestly a terrible novel. I read to chapter 1181 before I couldn’t force myself to continue any longer. It’s just arc after arc of some stupid, poorly written tournament. First they start in vr tournaments then move to real life. I thought after the first one that it would have a different arc type. NO!!! It immediately starts another and then another. 1181 chapters in and there is still no character development. My review rating is putting aside the racism and sexism that’s in most of the novels. That’s how bad this is. Yes I read 1181 chapters because I thought maybe the premise was cool at first, and then I continued cause I thought it would be stupid to quit midway but I honestly can’t do it.
a sci fi novel full of mecha. a journey from the earth unto the general of an empire in the galaxy. its rather good to follow, but the plot here not that many.
The MC has so much plot armor, that it is already anoying. All the fights are the same. The MC wins the day, is being portrayed as someone with godly skill and all of that only 150 chapters in, while he has supposedly only the most basic powers.

I'd say this one was the best out of Battle Frenzy and Tempest of the battlefield. Translation quality also is pretty good since they manage to bring out the good part of the story and even the jokes all in all it was a pretty good read if you haven't read it try it I am pretty sure you'll like it.

This book is probably the best fusion of action, romance, and political intrigue. because of all of that this is one of my favorite books that I have discovered on this app! I really recommend reading it.
100 chapters in and there are so many boring filler chapters that I regret starting this story. some cool action scenes and moderately interesting plot lines but so much time is wasted on false start relationships and elites posturing only to be predictably shocked by how much of a Mary Sue the MC is. He is so overpowered yet very little writing actually does anything with it. it's all about showing off without the MC really trying to. guessing it's a weird type of wish fulfillment story but it's so mediocre and painfully slow paced.

TLDR; Great start. Slowly falls down in quality. Crappy romance. Rushed ending. This is a novel to avoid. I have read author's other work Tempest of The Battlefield which was also pretty crap but this one had a better start. It sadly became apparent that author was still stuck on his way. Now then, the first problem is the MC. He is a strawman punching bag that exists to faceslap people. If done right it would have been good but author concentrated more on insulting the MCs rather than the faceslapping itself. It doesn't bring the satisfaction of the face slap most of the time. Add in the fact that MC is Japanese beta male MC, its the worst of both worlds. The romance is bad. FM falls in love at first sight. Crappy drama about status and shit. Even the romance of side characters are pretty bad. They get together and breakup for no apparent reason. Harem is fake and is just trying to bait people that like harem. Finally the story. Dropping it after IG tournament is probably the best decision because the story will retcon itself so much that any advantages MC had is turned irrelevant since everyone has them as well. Unique cultivation? Illegal app gives them for 10k. Super soldier? Easily trained. Mech that can only be used by aliens? Train enough to use them as well. The story and setting is eating itself alive to give the MC more challenges. Worst still are the fillers, it has so many throw away characters. MC and friends are also always the underdog no matter what OP shit they did before. The Tempest series is a disappointment and Battle Frenzy might also be the same. I am not reading anything this author writes anymore.

Nice story i' into war themed books and many others but I can say that this one is one that interests me. And I really like the cover of the book too.
Overall good. Read a few hundreds chapters, maybe more than a thousand, don't remember, a few years back Now is my second time, around chap 320. This is a good novel, sadly the translation, or maybe even the original story 🤷🏻♂️, is quite messy some time, the pot can change just like that and the next paragraphe we are are back... some time there are incoherence (which are quite frustrating and quite visible). But after we get used to it slowly. The story is really entertaining, no real plot armor (or rarely), but some time something appear just like that and I'm like "Okay... why not??".. feels like it wasn't really planned... The characters are really good, one of them change greatly in just the first 200 chapters, it is explained why don't worry, the others doesn't change much (for now). I would say my favorite character is Yan Xiaosu funny when needed, serious when asked, and do what he is supposed to on time. I'm also quite fond of Xio Fei, she is quite unique. As for the romance, it is here, and early, nice, not on every chapter (sort of), but when we have it.. it is a bit too much for me😅 please calm down, the world isn't ending tomorrow... I might have put quite a lot of default, but I'm still reading I plan to continue, The bad sides (messy writing, and romance) are compensated by the good sides (characters, world building (I might read the trilogy), romance) Hope it help say hi to Old Deer on my behalf :)
