Capítulo 14: 14: Stand!

DIO's Arrow and the Beetle Arrow

The former needs no introduction, but the Beetle Arrow is something special.

Among all the arrows capable of awakening Stands, the Beetle Arrow is the most unique. Not only does it have a one-of-a-kind design, unlike the others that share identical appearances despite their differing abilities, but it also possesses the extraordinary power to evolve a Stand to the next level unconditionally.

—-—

"Everyone, I hope we meet again someday."

With both arrows and DIO's remains in hand, Borsalino bid farewell to the Stardust Crusaders.

Although the Crusaders' strength was negligible compared to his own, their courage and resolve had earned his respect.

"Until we meet again…"

The Stardust Crusaders, in turn, breathed a quiet sigh of relief. Though they had speculated that Borsalino might be the "Sun God," he neither confirmed it nor did they care to fawn over such a title.

Saying goodbye and parting ways felt like the best conclusion for everyone.

As Borsalino'figure slowly disappeared in the glow of "teleportation," their belief in his divine identity as the Sun God grew even stronger.

---

Back in the world of One Piece, Borsalino glanced at the time. Less than two minutes had passed since he left.

The difference in time flow between worlds was significant, though he couldn't help but lament that his cheat had arrived a little too late.

If he'd discovered this sooner, he could have exploited the time disparity between worlds. Whenever he faced an unbeatable enemy or a situation where both sides were severely injured, he could have escaped to a world where time flowed faster.

A few days of rest or even months of training in that faster world could pass, and upon returning to his original world, only seconds would have gone by. He could have fully recovered, become stronger, and then effortlessly turned the tables on his enemies. Wouldn't that have been perfect?

---

"Well, at least there's a consolation prize—Stands..."

Borsalino pulled out the two arrows he brought back from the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure world. While using the arrows to gain a Stand was not without its risks, his current strength and physical constitution made failure a near impossibility.

Moreover, Borsalino's Observation Haki had reached the highest level, and he had awakened a kind of danger perception ability, allowing him to assess the potential threat of an object.

In Borsalino's perception through his Observation Haki, the threat of the two arrows was not nonexistent, but it was so close to zero that it could be considered negligible.

"Well, let's give it a try and see how my luck fares…"

Borsalino was a decisive person. After confirming there was no danger, he grasped the arrow once used by DIO.

As a sharp, stinging sensation appeared in the palm of his hand, Borsalino made a somewhat odd expression.

The sensation was as though a new "organ" had suddenly appeared in his body. Although he had never had a Stand before, all the information related to a Stand naturally appeared in his mind.

Even for the well-traveled and experienced Borsalino, this was a remarkably novel experience.

Sitting on the sofa, Borsalino paused for a moment, not making any immediate movements. Soon, an illusory figure appeared behind him, looking like a younger version of him.

The figure was dressed in a navy admiral's uniform and cloak, arms crossed in an imposing manner, with a somewhat youthful face that radiated rebelliousness.

This was Polusalino's Stand, and as soon as it appeared, he knew its name and abilities.

'The Flash'

The Stand's power was called Godspeed, granting Borsalino an incredible speed, even without the powers of the Light-Light Fruit. He could now reach or even surpass the speed of light using only his own body.

Additionally, much like Star Platinum, this Stand had a possession ability that could enhance the attributes of its host. The difference was that it wasn't limited to only possessing its Stand user.

However, for Borsalino, this wasn't of much consequence. For someone of his caliber, the Stand's combat ability was merely a supplementary factor, not even worth considering in serious battles.

What truly amazed Borsalino was the Godspeed power it gave him.

Godspeed endowed him with superhuman speed, meaning that even without the Light-Light Fruit, Borsalino could move faster than light. Moreover, thanks to the enhanced thought speed Godspeed provided him, Borsalino no longer had to worry about the potential danger of accidentally flying into outer space when reaching light speed.

In theory, as long as he desired, he could move freely at the speed of light for as long as he wished, which was nearly unthinkable before obtaining Godspeed.

Upon realizing the ability of his Stand, Borsalino immediately thought of the Flash from DC Comics.

The powers they possessed were almost identical, and in other words, whatever the Flash could do, Borsalino would eventually be able to achieve as well.

Moreover, Polusalino's potential with the Light-Light Fruit would only be higher than that of the Flash. In an instant, he thought of at least ten different ways to combine the powers of the Light-Light Fruit and Godspeed.

And this was just the beginning. The sparks that would fly when these two powerful abilities combined made even Borsalino feel immense anticipation.

"Next up is the Beetle Arrow…"

Borsalino couldn't wait to see how his Stand would evolve. He was particularly curious about what new abilities it might gain.

As the Beetle Arrow pierced his body, countless fine cracks appeared on the surface of his Stand. As the cracks expanded, endless light consumed everything.

Fortunately, only Stand users could see all of this.

As the light gradually faded, the Stand that reappeared in front of Polusalino seemed to have just gone through a fierce battle.

The admiral's uniform and cloak had vanished, leaving behind tattered pants. His short black hair had been dyed golden, giving him the appearance of a Super Saiyan after an intense battle.

Stand Evolution: The Flash's Requiem!

Compared to its initial form, the evolved Stand was quite simple in terms of its abilities. It granted Borsalino the power known as Solar Body.

By absorbing the energy of the sun, Borsalino could continuously grow stronger and even awaken various abilities.

In simple terms, just by basking in the sun, he could grow stronger, similar to Superman in the DC world, but without the weakness to Kryptonite…

The evolved Stand could switch back to its original form at any time. In terms of comprehensive abilities, it was nearly perfect.

This was the combined power of both Superman and The Flash, plus his own Light-Light Fruit. This was quite the jackpot!

Even with Polusalino's lazy attitude developed over the years, he couldn't wait to test how truly incredible the abilities he had gained were.

"Hmm, the base should be in that direction…"

Borsalino estimated the general direction and distance, and his body gradually transformed into light, disappearing from the spot.

Now that he had a Stand, Borsalino had truly achieved the ability to move at light speed. Before this, trying long-distance light-speed travel could have resulted in him flying into outer space and becoming an astronaut.

Only during battle, with short-distance movement, could he use his Observation Haki to lock onto his target and avoid going off course.
