　　The flickering blue light of the television cast a glow on my apartment as I watched Alexander effortlessly navigate the interview on Luxe Magazine's evening show. His sharp wit and confident manners were on full display, ad I hated that I could never get over the fact that he was handsome. Why was someone like him still single after all this time? Could it be have something to do with Ava? A text notification from Via buzzed on my phone, shattering my thought process.

　　"OMG! If your television is not on, you're doing the wrong thing, Evie. Did you see our boss on TV? So freaking hot!" the message read, followed by a string of fire emojis.

　　A pang of jealousy, sharp and unexpected, pierced through me. It was absurd, of course. Via was my friend, and Alexander was my... well, technically my boss, but also the unknowing target of my deception. Still, the possessiveness Via's text had roused in me left a bitter taste in my mouth.
