Capítulo 18: Returning
While Leon was on the island, he continued to share with Luxion all the important knowledge he could remember at the time. After their conversation, they decided that Luxion would allocate 80% of its resources to searching for others like itself, or perhaps even creating new ones. They were all eager to successfully oppose Arcadia, should they fail to find and suppress it in advance.
Moreover, within a week, Luxion fully restored itself and partially researched the island. Leon discovered many interesting things, mostly documents, but also an unknown species of wildlife—multicolored oysters, which Leon enjoyed but Luxion did not.
"My God, this is the most delicious thing I've ever eaten," the first one said, eating the sixth oyster.
Meanwhile, the second one was cornered, clutching his stomach, glaring at Leon with hatred. "Why? I really don't like seafood, but oysters—especially these—are the worst," he muttered.
"You bastard, stop eating it!" the second one exclaimed, annoyed. "Just looking at it makes me sick."
"Don't complain, enjoy it," Leon said, shoving another oyster into his mouth. "I think today I'll only eat these."
Hearing this, the vein on the second one's forehead bulged. He decided to regain control over his body so he could eat something else.
Feeling the loss of control over his body, the first one started to complain.
"Hey, I'm not full yet!" the first one said in a whiny voice.
"You won't get full on just sea vaginas," the second one retorted. "Now we're going to eat what I want."
It was later revealed that this type of oysters had been specially created in a laboratory for gourmets who paid large sums of money. The unique feature of these oysters was that they reproduced very quickly.
But let's return to the moment when they returned to the Bartfort house.
On the ship, Leon could be seen calmly exiting the vessel.
By the time he sat down, people began to approach—mostly servants of the family, but soon, members of the family themselves appeared, including Barcus, who had apparently rushed over, followed by Colin and Nyx.
Seeing them, Leon smiled and waved.
"Hello, everyone! I'm back with souvenirs," he said, holding a strange bag. He looked at one of the servants. "Take this to the kitchen."
Barcus, still in shock, was slowly approaching, his mouth open as he stared at the massive ship behind Leon, from which a mountain of treasures was visible.
Pointing to them, Barcus, still shocked, asked, "Is that yours?"
Leon smiled and nodded.
Barcus was about to ask something else when suddenly, two children ran past him—Nyx and Colin, who leaped into Leon's arms.
Nyx had been worried about Leon the whole time, and Colin, though worried, also admired his brother.
Seeing this, Barcus realized his mistake and rushed to hug them, pressing his face to Leon.
Feeling something poking him, he began to complain.
"Ow, old man, did you grow a beard? Get away from me, you're poking me with it!"
Hearing this, Barcus grinned maliciously and began hugging Leon even tighter.
"You think you'll get away with it after running away from home? Consider yourself lucky, that's your punishment from me," he whispered, then added, "As for the punishment from your mother, you better start praying in advance."
At that moment, Leon noticed his mother smiling as she slowly approached them. He immediately realized that behind that smile was the devil, and he already guessed what awaited him, making him shiver.
By this point, Jenna and Finley also arrived.
"Hmph, so the foolish brother is still alive, what a pity," Jenna said, though if you looked closely, you could tell she was relieved that Leon was okay.
Finley remained silent, and they all began to approach him when suddenly, everyone heard clapping.
Clap clap clap.
It was Zola, looking extremely pleased.
"Ah, wonderful, even trash can be useful. You did well, little brat, bringing these treasures to the family—actually, to me," she said with a smile.
Upon seeing this, many began to worry. Barcus clenched his fists, indifferent to what might happen. He was prepared to protect what his son had earned at all costs. He was sure it wasn't easy for Leon, and he was ready to intervene, but Leon beat him to it.
"Huh? What are you talking about, ma'am? I found this, it belongs to me."
Hearing this, Zola continued smiling. "Ah, little one, it's a shame you don't know. You probably heard this from someone, but due to your young age, you didn't get all the details. To make this rule work for you, you must be an adventurer, but not only are you not one, but you..." She didn't finish her sentence when she heard the rustle of two pieces of paper Leon handed her.
Looking at him questioningly, she took the papers. As she read them, her face grew darker and darker, and her anger became evident.
The first paper was an official document stating that Leon was considered an adventurer, meaning that despite his young age, he could own private property, which was protected by the kingdom.
The second document was from the royal family, praising Leon for his achievements—specifically, for discovering a large island along with several smaller ones. They also praised his bravery and courage, as well as his decision to donate a portion of the treasure to the kingdom. As a result, he was awarded the title of Baron, which meant Zola could no longer threaten Leon directly or through his family.
In the end, she exploded with rage. "You little trash!" she screamed at Leon. "I've done so much for you and your family, and this is how you repay me?!"
"Helped? Pfft," Leon said with a laugh, which only enraged Zola even more. Finally, she decided to leave but not before saying one last thing.
"It doesn't matter, I always get what I want. You know that," she said as she left.
Hearing this, Barcus sighed.
"Hmm, be sure of one thing, you stupid Kurwa, you won't be around for much longer," the second one thought angrily.
