Capítulo 10: Chapter 10 Old Town

Still at the salt-making seaside, Gavin stared at the panel data in front of him. Energy points can basically be absorbed naturally every year. In recent years, he rarely uses energy points to improve his bloodline, but as he grows older, his bloodline awakening is still growing. However, Gavin can clearly feel that the awakening speed of his bloodline has slowed down. I am afraid that in a few years, he can only rely on energy points to improve it.

Most of the energy points consumed are used to improve martial arts, and his swordsmanship has been improved to the master level. Moreover, through years of training and bloodline growth, his physical fitness has been significantly improved.

Looking at the energy points reserved on the panel, he began to plan his future carefully.

Going to the academy, Gavin had a clear and definite goal in mind. One was the magic books included in the academy. He had magic power but it was difficult to form strength. Through those academies, he might be able to solve his dilemma.

Another goal was the bachelor Keben who would be expelled from the academy in the future. The source of this idea has to start with the control function in his panel.

Two years ago, the family participated in the war against the Iron Islands, and Sir Edmund took most of the soldiers in the territory. The young people trained by Coach Ryan were formed into a team and took on the task of patrolling the territory together with some militiamen. Gavin was the strongest among them and was appointed as one of the captains. At that time, he was full of confidence and expectation to test his command function.

He originally planned to use the command function to enhance the ability of his teammates, but the result disappointed him. The command in the panel only showed the names of his subordinates, and there was a prompt behind it, (This unit does not belong to you) No matter how he tried, the command was like a sleeping beast, with no response. This made Gavin fall into deep thinking and questioning.

He carefully analyzed various possible reasons, and finally suspected that it was because these people could not really swear allegiance to him, or whether the people being ruled also had to have magic to be recognized by the panel.

But at present, these ideas cannot be realized. After all, with his current identity, it is almost an unattainable dream to obtain a title or become a knight in a short time. Under such circumstances, it was even more impossible to make these soldiers follow him wholeheartedly and test the command function.

Gavin, who had been confused for a long time, finally decided to change his mind. If the living could not be loyal to him, what about the dead? This bold and crazy idea kept lingering in his mind.

Recalling that in the play, Coben resurrected the Mountain and made it a terrifying existence that almost lost itself and only knew to obey orders. Although the Mountain seemed to have regained some of its self, or obsession, later, this undoubtedly provided Gavin with a direction to solve the problem.

Gavin pondered this possibility over and over again, and the more he thought about it, the more he felt that this might be the key to breaking the current dilemma. If he could master this ability to resurrect the dead and let those dead warriors be used by him again, then he would no longer have to worry about the loyalty of the soldiers. They would execute their orders without reservation and become the most loyal and powerful force in his hands.

This idea made Gavin excited and a little scared. After all, this is a means that goes against common sense and morality. But facing the current predicament, Gavin felt that he no longer had much room for choice. He gritted his teeth and secretly made up his mind to find ways to obtain Coben's knowledge.

Gavin followed the caravan and slowly set out on the road to Old Town. Along the way, the beautiful scenery of the river bay was like a colorful painting slowly unfolding in front of him.

Looking around, the vast farmland was like a green ocean, swaying gently under the caress of the breeze. The crops in the fields were lush and full of vitality, showing the fertility and abundance of this land.

Five days later in the evening, Gavin arrived at Old Town, and the towering tower that soared into the sky also appeared in his sight, with a height of more than 100 meters.

For Gavin's previous life, such a height may not be surprising, but this was the backward Middle Ages. Legend has it that the construction of the towering tower benefited from the help of magic. Now it seems that these legends are not groundless.

Looking at the tower with mysterious and magnificent patterns, Gavin's thoughts began to drift uncontrollably. A nearly crazy idea suddenly emerged in his mind: If this towering tower is really built by the power of magic, does it contain mysterious magic? If he can touch its tower with his own hands, will he have the opportunity to obtain precious energy points? Once this idea appeared, it spread wildly in his mind like weeds.

However, just a moment later, Gavin smiled helplessly. He knew that with his current identity and status, it was simply a foolish dream to get close to the castle of the Hightower family and the mysterious towering tower. However, the fact that it cannot be realized now does not mean that it is impossible in the future. Sooner or later, it will be sucked dry. Gavin looked at the towering tower with full of expectations.

Soon Gavin sorted out his mood. He led the horse and walked slowly on the streets of the old town, looking for a place to rest. Not long after, he found a hotel that looked quite comfortable.

After entering the hotel, Gavin found a quiet corner and sat down. He was exhausted from the long journey. He waved to the waiter and said in a slightly hoarse voice: "Give me a clean room and prepare some food and water."

The waiter responded and quickly arranged everything for Gavin. When the food was served, Gavin gave the waiter a few bronze stars, and while eating hungrily, he asked the waiter about some things about the school city.

The next morning, Gavin got up early, and after having breakfast served by the waiter, he went to the school city to register with the letter of recommendation given by Sir Edmond. Along the way, people around him were watching him. After all, in Westeros, silver hair and purple eyes were the symbol of the Targaryen family, the former owner of the Iron Throne.

The management bachelor who received Gavin was also a little surprised by his appearance, and asked specifically about Gavin's background. After all, the current attitude of the Iron Throne toward dragons is very poor. Although the Academy remains neutral, it does not want to cause trouble.

The management bachelor was relieved after reading the recommendation letter written by the nobleman, which introduced Gavin's identity in detail and proved it.

Then, he led Gavin to the Affairs Office and introduced as he walked:

"You need to pay 10 gold dragons for tuition every year. You can choose the subjects you are interested in to study. But you can only choose one subject in the first year.
