30% Rick & Morty: Science is Power (SI) / Chapter 3: SnowBall Effect Part 2

Capítulo 3: SnowBall Effect Part 2

Morty's heart skipped a beat as he saw Snuffles, blissfully unaware of the future Rick was about to force upon him. The dog waddled in, sniffing at the crumbs on the floor like any regular pet, his tail wagging in simple joy. Morty's mind raced—this was it. This was the turning point.

Rick was already fiddling with the collar, unaware of Morty's mounting frustration. Morty bent down, his voice low and urgent, trying to keep the situation from escalating. "Snuffles," he whispered, his hand hovering over the dog's soft fur. "Listen, you don't need this. You're perfect the way you are. You don't need to be smarter. Don't let Rick turn you into a weapon, okay? Just stay... you."

Snuffles looked up at Morty with big, innocent eyes. Morty felt a pang of guilt as he realized how little the dog could understand, but he quickly stifled it, this was about him and his survival, it wasn't about Morty trying to save him from a fate he had no control over. Morty stood back up, wiping his hands on his jeans, heart pounding. He didn't have time to explain it all to Snuffles. The only thing he could do now was try to keep Rick from activating the collar.

But Rick was already too far gone. "Alright, enough talking, Morty!" Rick shot up, his voice suddenly sharp, as he stood up and approached the dog. Morty felt a wave of panic surge through him, but he knew he couldn't just attack Rick. That would escalate things further.

As Rick went to place the collar around Snuffles' neck, Morty took a deep breath, his thoughts racing opening his mouth to stall for a new argument

"Rick's right, Morty," Jerry suddenly said, his voice filled with a mix of frustration and resignation. He glanced over at Snuffles, who was playfully wagging his tail, oblivious to what was about to happen. "This dog is just too stupid. I mean, he's cute and all, but he's chews up everything, pees all over the place, and makes a mess constantly. Maybe once he grows some brains he'll finally be a good boy."

while jerry was helping morty understand ricks perspective he had finished

With one final click, Rick slapped the collar onto Snuffles, and a faint hum echoed from it. Morty didn't have the words to stop what was happening now. He could only watch helplessly as Snuffles' eyes glowed bright blue. It was the moment Morty had feared—the moment when everything started to fall apart.

"Snuffles?" Morty asked softly, but the dog's response was far from the simple wag of a tail. He stared at morty with intelligence gleaming in his eyes and as he realized he had failed to prevent the canon timeline from happening his mind began to wander as everyone around him was talking.

Before Morty could process the weight of the situation, Rick grinned and clapped Morty on the back. "Alright, Morty. Enough with the puppy talk. It's time for our next real mission."

Morty blinked, still trying to grasp what had just happened. "Wait, what?" he asked, his voice shaky.

Rick was already pulling out some kind of device from his pocket. "We've got a job, Morty. We need to go into your math teacher's dreams, and convince him to give you an 'A.' No more homework! Think about it—no more math. Just a big fat 'A.' All the benefits of a smart kid without the burden of all that... thinking."

Morty groaned internally. This was exactly what he was trying to avoid—a chaotic mess where Rick dragged him into the deep end without a lifeline. But this time, there was no escaping. The rollercoaster ride had already begun.

(sorry im skipping the dream sequence just think of it as the same as canon)

After surviving the nightmare realm he could finally rest and comprehend how much danger he was in

"I knew better than too go without a lifeline and I still did" he mumbled to himself while standing at the entrance of his new home. reflecting on his mistake he decided to correct this as soon as possible and in order to do that he needed power.

Before snuffles turned into an unbeatable war machine he decided the only guaranteed way to defeat Snuffles was through obtaining power and he knew exactly where to look for that.

Walking towards his grandpa's garage passing by the family who where all sitting around the tv, he quickly snuck into rick sanchez's 'workspace'.

looking around he saw what seemed to be an ordinary garage with a junk spaceship right out front of the half closed door. He notice things from later seasons although he doesn't know much to be completely honest

like most avid watchers during Rich & Morty's peak he dropped the show entirely after season three believing it had fell off from grace, but now he regretted not watching the show.

it was 2023 when he died and was sent here and there were currently 7 seasons of it out the time meaning he doesn't even know half of the future events. ]Huffing for a bit at the absurdity of it all he scanned the room for what he could use, his eyes halting at the 'hidden' keypad at the side of ricks workshop table.

Morty took a step forward, his hand hovering just above the hidden keypad on Rick's workshop table. The weight of the situation wasn't pressing down on him—it was fueling him. His mind was sharp now, laser-focused. He wouldn't fumble anymore, not when his survival depended on his next move. His pulse was steady, his thoughts moving faster than the chaotic world around him. No more second-guessing. Morty was in control.

He knew exactly what he needed to do, and the path was clear. One wrong move could ruin everything, but Morty wasn't thinking about failure. Not now. Not when his future—and possibly the entire family's, was at stake. Rick's madness wasn't just a nuisance now; it was a ticking time bomb. Morty had no choice but to act fast, and to act smart.

His eyes darted across the cluttered workshop, quickly checking if anyone was around. The family was still parked in front of the TV, oblivious to the danger that was unfolding just a few rooms away. Rick? Probably off in another dimension or tinkering with his latest failed invention. It didn't matter. Morty had to make his move.

The keypad was right in front of him now, the thing standing in his way. He'd seen Rick punch in a code before. but this time, Morty wasn't just observing. This time, he was taking action.

"I've got this," Morty muttered to himself, his voice steady, confident. He wasn't going to fumble this. Never again.

His fingers hovered over the keypad. He took a breath and started tapping.

First came the 3, then the 8, followed by a quick double tap on the 7. Then a swipe—left, then right. The sequence came back to him like muscle memory. The numbers clicked in place, one after another. Morty's pulse quickened, but his fingers never faltered. This was it.

With a soft but satisfying click, the panel blinked green. Morty's heart surged. He was in.

The hidden compartments slowly revealed themselves, the walls filled with power shown under the dim light of the workshop. Morty wasted no time. He began picking his weapon, his hands quick and sure. Inside were rows of gadgets—some familiar, some completely unrecognizable. It looked like Rick had shoved his entire arsenal into this compartment.

But Morty wasn't here for all of it. His eyes scanned the shelves, quickly picking out the one gadget he needed. There it was. The "Freeze Ray"—an iconic, Rick-classic weapon from back in the early days of their adventures. Morty had seen it used a dozen times, and every time, it was devastating.

It was also the smartest choice the gadget was light weight and practical people could survive this weapon as long as they were unthawed quickly and it still had enough power to incapacitate a threat like Snuffles.

Morty quickly slipped out of the garage, quietly shutting the door behind him. He could hear his family laughing from the living room, oblivious to the world-shattering decisions that were unfolding in the background.

Morty moved stealthily toward the back door, feeling the weight of the situation on his shoulders. The power he now carried in his bag could tip the scales in his favor. The next step would be tricky, but at least he had a lifeline—a real one this time.

The door swung open, and Morty slipped outside, the air condition room hitting him like a wake-up call. He glanced over his shoulder to make sure he wasn't being followed. No one had noticed, which was good. He had a plan, and the plan was unfolding exactly as he needed it to.

"I'm smarter than this, Morty. Smarter than anyone in this universe," Morty muttered himself this mantra as he walked into his room. The trump card fully secured.
