Roy K had finally reached a new milestone in his career. His antics had made him beloved in Cahaya, but now he had to step up and represent the country on the world stage. The occasion? A highly anticipated diplomatic summit involving leaders from across the region.
It was an opportunity to showcase Cahaya's strengths or, in Roy's case, to prove that the country hadn't gone completely off the rails.
Preparing for the Summit
"Aziz," Roy said one morning, peeking over his newspaper. "When's the summit thing again?"
Aziz, who had been mentally preparing for this moment for weeks, set his coffee down and sighed. "It's tomorrow, sir. And it's not a 'thing.' It's the Regional Economic and Peace Accord Summit. Leaders from ten nations will be there. This is a serious event."
Roy nodded, looking unusually thoughtful. "Do I need to do anything? Like… homework?"
"Homework?" Aziz asked, incredulous.
"You know, like read stuff, practice handshakes, learn where the forks go during the fancy dinners?"
Aziz massaged his temples. "Sir, you just need to stick to the script, smile, and avoid saying anything how do I put this?memorable."
Roy frowned. "Avoid being memorable? Aziz, that's like asking a cat not to meow. Impossible."
The Arrival
The summit was being held in the neighboring country of Nusasuria, known for its glitzy hotels and strict protocols. Roy arrived with a small entourage, including Aziz, two junior ministers, and, inexplicably, Meowster, who had refused to leave Roy's side.
"Why is the cat here?" Aziz hissed as they walked toward the grand conference hall.
"He's my emotional support animal," Roy whispered. "Also, he keeps my tie straight."
Aziz muttered something unintelligible, but there was no time to argue. Cameras flashed as Roy strutted down the red carpet, waving like a celebrity at a movie premiere.
"Sir, stop waving," Aziz hissed. "This isn't a parade."
"But they love me!" Roy whispered back, grinning at the crowd.
The Opening Ceremony
The summit began with a formal opening ceremony. Roy managed to sit still for the most part, though he did get caught on camera attempting to fold his nameplate into an origami swan.
The real challenge came when the leaders were invited to deliver their opening remarks.
"Just read the script," Aziz reminded him as Roy walked up to the podium.
Roy adjusted his microphone and cleared his throat. "Ladies and gentlemen, esteemed leaders, and… uh, other people who are here."
Aziz buried his face in his hands.
Roy continued, squinting at his script. "We in Cahaya believe in… uh…" He flipped the page upside down. "Unity, cooperation, and… economic thingies."
The audience stared in stunned silence. Roy, sensing he was losing them, decided to improvise.
"Let me tell you a story!" he said suddenly, tossing the script aside. "Once, I tried to grow cucumbers in my backyard…"
What followed was a ten-minute ramble about pests, overwatering, and a cat (Meowster) who refused to guard the garden. By the time Roy finished, half the audience was laughing, and the other half looked ready to stage a coup.
"Thank you!" Roy said, bowing dramatically before returning to his seat.
"Sir, what was that?" Aziz whispered furiously.
"Charm, Aziz," Roy said smugly. "You can't teach it."
The Dinner Disaster
Later that evening, the leaders gathered for a formal dinner. Aziz had spent hours coaching Roy on proper table etiquette, but the Prime Minister had retained nothing.
"Why are there so many forks?" Roy whispered as he sat down.
"Just start from the outside and work your way in," Aziz replied, trying to stay calm.
The first course was soup. Roy managed to spill half of his bowl onto the tablecloth while demonstrating "the proper way to slurp."
By the time the main course arrived, chaos was inevitable. Roy, unfamiliar with the dish—a complicated fusion of lobster and rice—attempted to eat it with his hands.
"Sir, please use your utensils," Aziz begged.
"I tried! This thing is slippery!" Roy said, accidentally launching a chunk of lobster across the table. It landed on the plate of the President of Nusasuria, who stared at it in horror.
"I'm so sorry!" Roy exclaimed, standing up to retrieve the lobster. In the process, he knocked over a wine glass, which spilled onto the dress of the Prime Minister of Malidora.
"Aziz, help!" Roy hissed, as the room descended into chaos.
The Cat Saves the Day
Just as things couldn't get worse, Meowster, who had been hiding under the table, jumped onto the President of Nusasuria's lap. The man froze, unsure whether to scream or pet the cat.
To everyone's surprise, Meowster began purring loudly and rubbing his head against the President's arm. The tension in the room melted instantly.
"What a charming cat," the President said, stroking Meowster.
Roy seized the moment. "Yes, Meowster is a symbol of peace and harmony! In Cahaya, we believe in spreading love—just like this cat."
The room erupted into applause.
The Aftermath
Despite the rocky start, Roy's antics and Meowster's charm managed to win over the crowd. By the end of the summit, the leaders were laughing together, swapping stories, and posing for photos with Meowster.
The media, of course, had a field day. Headlines included:

• "Meowster: The Diplomatic Hero We Didn't Know We Needed"
• "Cahaya's PM Brings Chaos and Charm to the Summit"
Back in Cahaya, Aziz sat in his office, scrolling through the coverage. "Sir, do you ever think about the long-term consequences of your actions?" he asked.
Roy, lounging on the couch with Meowster on his chest, shrugged. "Not really. But hey, the summit was a success, wasn't it?"
Aziz sighed. "I suppose, in your own bizarre way, you made it work."
Roy grinned. "That's the Roy K way, Aziz. Chaos, charm, and cucumbers."
