"Debbie, Carl!"
As Lip shouted, the two of them quickly retracted their hands and hugged themselves tightly.
"Lip, why won't you let Debbie and Carl forgive their mother? You can't be so unreasonable!"
Monica couldn't stop crying.
"Haha, Monica, I don't even want to advise you to be kind, because you don't deserve to be called human at all!" Lip's tone was so cold it could freeze someone to death.
"Put away your crocodile tears! Stop wasting your time acting!"
"Lip, what do you mean?" Monica was clearly panicked.
"Don't you think it's particularly shameless to say nice things in front of the second-to-last or third-to-last child just to snatch the youngest one away? To make them forgive you or even support you?"
"I don't!" Monica denied it.
"Are you kidding me? When we were homeless on the streets in winter, shivering in the cold wind, hungry and unsure where our next meal would come from—where were you?!"
"Were you busy drinking, taking drugs, or serving someone?!"
"And now, you're standing here pretending to be pitiful for a black man who's neither male nor female and doesn't even have a d*ck. You're 10,000 times more shameless than Frank!"
Roberta was clearly hit where it hurt. She stood up suddenly, ready to fight Lip.
But as soon as she took a step forward, she froze.
She saw the black muzzle of a gun pointed straight at her.
And it was Lip holding the gun.
The weapon was a Glock 17 semi-automatic pistol that Jessica had given him for self-defense when they parted ways.
Lip disengaged the safety and loaded the gun in one smooth motion.
"Now, you have two choices: either get out of this house immediately, or sit on that sofa without moving or saying a word."
"If you p*ss me off, I'll shoot you in the head!"
Lip's tone was icy and fierce.
Roberta trembled and fell back onto the sofa.
"Monica, keep performing!" Lip sneered as he glared at Monica. "I'm skipping a whole day of class today, just so I can enjoy the show with you and her!"
"Lip, what do you want me to do?" Monica sobbed, looking pitiful.
"In this world, everything is tit for tat! Nobody can commit murder and arson one minute and suddenly become a saint the next just by saying they've changed!"
"How can the sins you've committed be so easily erased?!"
"I…"
Monica stammered, unable to find the words.
"What's wrong? Didn't expect me to be so tough? Forgot your lines?" Lip sneered. "I'll give you two choices now."
"First, leave as far as you can. Live or die—it's none of our business, and we won't interfere. But don't ever harm me or my siblings again, or the only thing waiting for you will be a barrel and bullets."
"Second, if you really feel guilty and want to make amends, give us money or something tangible. Stop talking nonsense and pretending to care!"
"Oh, and start by compensating Fiona!"
"Without her, we wouldn't even know if we'd be alive today! She's been fulfilling your responsibilities as a mother for all these years!"
"Lip, if I compensate you with money, can I take Liam with me?"
"Hahahaha~" Lip laughed derisively.
"Debbie, Carl, did you hear that? From the moment she got here, all she's thought about is how to take Liam away!"
"She's like a shameless human trafficker. When lying and stealing didn't work, she finally decided to spend money to buy him!"
Monica suddenly realized she had been trapped by Lip.
"No, I don't mean that! I love you!"
At that moment, the faces of Fiona, Lip, Ian, Carl, Debbie, and even six-month-old Liam turned cold, filled with disgust and hatred for Monica.
Roberta noticed the shift and realized they couldn't stay any longer. She abruptly stood up, grabbed Monica's arm, and pulled her outside.
A moment later, the deafening roar of a truck engine echoed across the street.
Lip and the others watched the black truck drive away, its roaring engine fading into the distance.
"Oh my God! Our little boy has really become a man!" Fiona said, slapping Lip on the shoulder with a look of pride.
"Hehe, I just didn't want to see my big sister get wronged!"
Lip had a silly smile on his face.
Fiona hugged Lip, who was now nearly as tall as she was, tightly in her arms.
"Thank you, brother!"
Ian, Carl, and Debbie, who was holding Liam, joined in the hug.
After a while, Fiona suddenly realized the time.
"Oh no, I haven't made breakfast yet!" she exclaimed, panicking.
"No need! I'll take everyone to a restaurant later," Lip said with a smile.
"Oh yeah, long live Lip! I want chocolate pie!" Debbie cheered happily.
"Got it." Lip ruffled Debbie's hair.
"Lip, is that gun of yours real? It looks fake to me."
Lip smiled without answering. Instead, he walked to the edge of the steps and fired three shots into the grass.
"Bang! Bang! Bang!"
"Holy crap! That's awesome!" Carl exclaimed in excitement.
"Go clean that up quickly, or you won't have time to eat later!"
Ian, Carl, and Debbie dashed to their rooms.
"Fiona, has Steve talked to you lately?"
"No! Why are you asking?"
"Uh… nothing!"
"Lip, you're hiding something! Spill it!"
Lip now realized just how sharp a woman's intuition could be.
"Uh… I promised Steve to keep it a secret!"
"Fine, keep your secrets. Mysterious as always."
At that moment, Fiona, holding Liam, headed toward the black Hummer, passing him the baton Debbie had handed off earlier.
While Fiona was distracted, Lip amused Liam and sent a quick text to Steve.
The message read: "Dear big brother-in-law, when are you going to fulfill your promise to me?"
When Ian and the others climbed into the car, Lip saw Steve's reply: "I was planning on doing it today, but I'm busy picking a gift for Fiona!"
Lip smiled, stepped on the accelerator, and the Hummer sped off.
