Capítulo 19: Fight through the darkness

"In the darkness, light was born, and there was a division. The light bore humans and angels, while the darkness bore demons. Where darkness lurks, the light must shine and overcome it. Let your spirit search for the light in Shin's soul."

The old woman's voice echoed in Mira's spiritual domain. Mira, still kneeling, slowly opened her eyes. She looked at the ground, which had turned into water, but her feet did not sink. The crystal-clear water stretched into infinity, and she was but a speck in its vast expanse.

Looking up, she saw a blue sky covered with white clouds. Suddenly, the sky began falling toward her. Instinctively, she crouched down and covered her eyes. When she opened them again, she saw that the sky had stopped just a few feet above her head. She didn't know why, but she understood what she had to do.

Her legs lifted off the water, and her body turned upside down. Her bare feet rested against the sky as she gazed at the crystal-like water below. Focusing the intent of her heart, she pictured Shin's image in her mind. A purple glow emanated from her forehead, forming the image of a crystal moon.

Suddenly, the water was filled with images of thousands of people. The thousands became millions, and the millions turned into billions, all moving forward in the water at a speed faster than time. Then, one image appeared—the image she had been searching for.

Shin's image lay in the waters like a mirrored reflection. She reached out to touch it and was suddenly sucked into the waters.

Her body rose from the depths, and she found herself in a completely different environment. She walked across the water and stepped onto dry ground. It was a barren desert, with sand dunes stretching endlessly and scattered shrubs dotting the landscape.

In the distance, a pillar of dark, cloud-like energy surged from the ground, reaching into the troposphere. Ahead, she saw two figures standing and staring, though she quickly realized they weren't looking at her. Instead, their gazes were fixed on something—or someone—behind her.

Mira turned and saw Shin, bound and suspended upside down by glowing black chains. His hands and feet were tightly restrained, and the chains binding his legs stretched endlessly into the sky. She closed her eyes, and the vision dissolved.

"I know where Shin is," Mira said as she opened her eyes, squinting and gasping for breath. Lisa caught her just in time, holding her steady as she nearly lost her footing.

"Now, Lisa, connect your third eye with hers!" the old woman exclaimed urgently.

Lisa nodded in agreement. She clasped her hands together and began chanting a spell. Her eyes locked with Mira's, and a spatial portal appeared beneath them, glowing in the shape of a crescent moon with a shimmering purple hue. In an instant, they vanished into the portal.

The old woman, however, remained behind, a wry expression etched across her face.

"Master, look west," a demonic spirit in a fiery red form snarled, pointing toward the horizon. A purple light shone from the earth, and from within it, three figures emerged.

"It seems our guests have arrived," the red demon said with a grimace. The taller demon, shrouded in a dark, cloud-like aura with glistening red eyes, nodded its head. The red demon gave an evil smile and began chanting a spell.

"Look up ahead," Mira said, pointing toward the sky. Hiraku squinted, focusing his gaze. He could see Shin in bondage, ominously chained and hanging upside down.

"Shin, no!" Hiraku cried out, his voice filled with distress at the horrifying sight.

"The ground... something's coming out. What is that thing?" Mira asked, her mouth agape in horror. Her third eye glistened with a purple hue as she saw hundreds of beasts rising from the dark, ashen ground. The creatures had faces like bats and bodies resembling bulls. Some had wings, while others did not. Their sharp talons clawed against each other, as though eager to tear through an enemy.

"Lisa, protect Mira! Cast the protection spell now. I have to rescue Shin," Hiraku said hurriedly, his eyes blazing with determination.

Hiraku's physical body vanished into the in between, and his spirit form materialized, wielding  a feiry sword. The ash-laden wind swirled around him as he began running into the advancing horde. His pace quickened, and the demon roared, their eyes filling the air with animosity and malice. The ground rumbled beneath the force of their charge.

Hiraku leapt into the air, letting out a fierce battle cry. WIth rage in his eyes his feiry sword struck the head of a demon splattering black ash-like blood across his face.Another demon lunged at his neck it's fangs,it's fangs bared, but Hiraku drove his sword drove into its mouth, slicing it's head in two. Flashes of his training ran through his mind:Demons that manifests without possessing a host can be easily vanquished by the sword of the spirit.

"Why can't he fly while fighting? That would give him an advantage, wouldn't it?" Mira asked inside the protective sphere, which shielded them and rendered them invisible to the demons.

"He can't manifest his wings because of the divine retribution." Lisa explained, her breath steady.

"What divine retribution?" Mira asked curiously

"His wings can't manifest because he saved my life, and exposed his spiritual form in daylight.someone must have seen him transform,so the divine order punished him by shattering his third eye and also restraining him from flying" Lisa explained further.

"I see" Mira nodded her head In understanding.

"I guess I might be a little bit guilty. Oh dear" Mira thought to herself.

Hiraku continued with the onslaught of the demons, their numbers slowly dwindled with each passing hour,he was nearer to shin, four demons leapt on him simultaneously and with a swift swing of his fiery sword he slashed their stomach in half. Their grotesque forms withered in agony before collapsing lifelessly to the ground.

Hiraku drew his fiery sword back with his right hand and, with a fierce yell, hurled it towards the chain binding Shin's leg. The sword flew true, stricking the chain with a loud clash and severing it.
