Capítulo 2: Chapter 2: Seeds of Ambition

As the months turned into years, Kaelan grew stronger, gradually mastering the control of his body. He learned to crawl, then to walk, and soon he was running about the camp. He began practicing with sticks, mimicking the warriors he watched, his small body stumbling but his mind sharp and focused. His father noticed his interest and began teaching him, guiding him through the basics of combat and hunting.

One morning, Kaelan's father knelt down beside him as they practiced with short wooden sticks. "Hold it firmly, Kaelan," he instructed, his voice patient yet firm. "A warrior must always be prepared, always ready."

Kaelan gripped the stick tightly, looking up at his father. "Father, what if a warrior could be more than just strong?" he asked, his voice soft but his gaze intense. "What if we could bring all the tribes together? Wouldn't we be stronger that way?"

His father looked at him, surprised by the question. He chuckled softly, ruffling Kaelan's hair. "You are still young, Kaelan, and you think like a dreamer. The tribes are different—each has its own ways, its own leaders. Uniting them is impossible."

"But maybe it isn't," Kaelan insisted, gripping the stick even tighter. "If they saw what we could build together, they might follow us."

His father shook his head, though there was a hint of pride in his eyes. "You have a strong will, my son. But strength alone cannot change the ways of our people. One day, you may understand."

Kaelan nodded, though inside he was already imagining what he would do differently. He saw a future where tribes lived under one banner, where their combined strength would protect them all. But he held his dreams close, letting them simmer within, knowing that his time had not yet come.

Each night, as he lay on his mat under the stars, Kaelan let his mind wander. He imagined a world where no tribe had to fear another, where they were united in strength and purpose. He began making rough drawings on leaves or tracing lines in the dirt—symbols for villages, plans for trade routes, and ideas for settlements that could grow into cities.

His little sister, Elara, noticed his scribbling one evening, peeking over his shoulder with wide, curious eyes. "What are you doing, Kaelan?" she asked, reaching out to touch the lines he'd scratched into the earth.

"Just… drawing," he replied, his voice soft as he looked down at her innocent face. "I'm making plans, Elara. Big plans for when we're older."

She giggled, fascinated. "Plans? For what?"

"One day," he whispered, "I'll make our tribe strong. Stronger than any other. I'll bring all the tribes together so that no one has to live in fear."

Elara's eyes sparkled with wonder, though she didn't fully understand. "You really think you can do that?"

Kaelan nodded, his voice filled with quiet confidence. "I know I can. I'll be a leader like no one has ever seen before. And when I am, you'll be there with me, Elara."

As she lay beside him, her little hand clutching his, Kaelan felt his resolve strengthen. His vision was vast, and though he was still only a child, he knew his destiny lay in bringing that vision to life. He would bide his time, waiting and learning, until the day he could take his place as a leader—and build an empire that would change their world forever.
