After being thrown into disarray by Hattori's antics, Chiyo sighed and shook her head helplessly, standing up and waving her hand at Ebizō.
"Let's call it a day. We'll talk about this tomorrow—I'm tired, and you should go too."
"Yes, sister," replied Ebizō, who promptly left, ruffling Hattori's hair on his way out, leaving it a mess.
Seeing this, Chiyo gave another resigned smile. She began tidying Hattori's hair and asked, "How many explosive tags do you want, Hattori?"
"Hmm…" Hattori thought for a moment, then held up five fingers. "Let's start with 500."
"What? 500?" Chiyo looked surprised at the number. "Why do you need that many?"
"To make puppets, of course!"
With that, Hattori brought out two puppets he had prepared: a spider and a lizard.
"See, teacher, these are my explosive puppets. You can load them with explosive tags. They're waterproof, and you can trigger them remotely with chakra threads, so the enemy never sees it coming."
Curious, Chiyo examined the small puppets and immediately understood their design. She nodded approvingly.
"Yes, these explosive puppets are clever—an excellent tactic for a puppeteer. I'll introduce them to the puppet corps. You can have your 500 explosive tags as a reward."
"Thank you, teacher!"
Ecstatic that his request had been granted, Hattori beamed and gave Chiyo a thumbs-up.
"Teacher, you truly are a big shot in Sunagakure. You can justify anything, even bending the rules—it's impressive!"
"→_→ You've just lost your explosive tags."
"Σ(っ°Д°;)っ"
…
Hattori tasted the consequence of his cheekiness. What should have been 500 explosive tags was whittled down to half, despite his pleas. He felt this was Chiyo's way of sending him a warning or maybe it held some other hidden lesson.
But none of that mattered now—he had learned one thing:
Offend a noble person, but never offend a petty one. Offend a petty person, but never offend a woman!
He tucked away his tags carefully and then cautiously spoke to Chiyo.
"Teacher, I feel like my attacks are too limited, so I'd like to learn some ninjutsu for self-defense."
"You want to learn ninjutsu?"
Chiyo thought for a moment and nodded.
"That's actually a good idea. Puppet techniques take years of practice to become truly powerful, so learning some offensive ninjutsu would be practical. One moment."
She retrieved a small sheet of white paper and handed it to Hattori.
"This is chakra paper. Channel some chakra into it and see what your attribute is."
Hattori knew what chakra paper was; by simply injecting chakra, the paper would respond according to the user's chakra nature.
If fire, the paper would ignite; if wind, it would split in half; if lightning, it would wrinkle; if water, it would get wet; if earth, it would crumble.
In cases where someone had multiple attributes, different parts of the paper would show different changes.
Chiyo was using it to understand Hattori's nature to better tailor his training.
Holding the chakra paper, Hattori felt a little anxious.
"No need for all attributes. Two or three would be fine. Yeah, two is acceptable—maybe I can develop some Kekkei Genkai…"
Hattori remembered that in the *Naruto* series, if a ninja could use two nature types, there was a small chance to combine them and create a new style.
For instance, fire plus wind equaled Scorch Style; fire plus water equaled Boil Style; wind plus water equaled Ice Style; lightning plus earth equaled Magnet Style, and so on.
If such a new style were developed, it would become part of the genetic code, something that could be inherited by future generations.
That's Kekkei Genkai!
Naturally, things like the Sharingan were different. Those were special Kekkei Genkai that required either being born with it or transplanting it.
Hattori wasn't aiming that high. He simply hoped to awaken two chakra natures.
Even if he couldn't create a Kekkei Genkai, it would still allow him to learn more high-level ninjutsu for self-defense.
As he channeled chakra into the paper, he murmured, "Fire and wind would be ideal… but anything's fine."
To his surprise, as his chakra flowed into the paper, it felt like sinking into an abyss—the paper showed no reaction.
Seeing this, a small smile flickered across Chiyo's face.
"It seems that, like me, you have a single Yang Release attribute. That's a natural trait for a medical-nin, but it prevents you from learning other elemental ninjutsu. You'd be better off focusing on medical and puppet techniques."
Hattori: "(﹃)"
But I still want to learn ninjutsu!
Noticing his disappointment, Chiyo seemed to have an idea and spoke again.
"Actually, you could still learn non-elemental ninjutsu. If used well, those could be quite effective. If you're interested, come with me!"
Hattori: "─=≡Σ(((つ^ω^)つ"
I'm in!
Following Chiyo, they stepped out into an open training area.
Once they were settled, Chiyo spoke again.
"First, I'll teach you the Transformation Jutsu. It's a simple technique: form the Tiger hand sign, channel chakra, and focus on the form you want to take. Watch this!"
She quickly formed the Tiger sign and, with a low shout, activated the technique.
"Transformation Jutsu!"
With a quiet "poof," smoke billowed around Chiyo.
When the smoke cleared, a middle-aged man stood in front of Hattori and spoke to him.
"See? Like this. Now you try."
"Yes, ma'am!"
Following her instructions, Hattori formed the Tiger sign and channeled his chakra.
"Transformation Jutsu!"
"Poof!"
The smoke dissipated, revealing a transformed Hattori. But the sight left Chiyo stunned.
Standing before her was Chiyo herself—in a bright red bikini, with every inch of her appearance, down to her belly, perfectly replicated.
With her expression darkening, Chiyo's face turned stormy.
But before she could speak, a surprised voice sounded behind her.
"Wow… Sister, I didn't know you had this kind of taste!"
Turning rigidly, Chiyo saw Ebizō, who had wandered over, giving a thumbs-up at the swimsuit-clad Chiyo beside him.
"Nice!"
Ebizō, completely unaware, had just committed the final blunder!
"EBIZŌ!"
As her enraged yell echoed, Ebizō turned to see a massive fist coming straight toward him…
