My first thought when I had met Scarlett was that she was terrifying. Her crimson eyes stared at me like I was a bunny ready to be eaten and she was grinning widely as if she found a new toy to play with.
Unlike Alexia who was more of a kind teacher Scarlett was the complete opposite who believed that constantly being beaten would help grow one's instincts. I trained with her a lot and the one sided beatdowns always ended in me being forced to fetch her liquor or food.
My second thought was that she was incredibly beautiful. I had already met Alexia and the queen at that time but I thought that Scarlett didn't lose out to the two nobles. '….' My legs felt as if they weighed twice their normal weight and my body was completely tense.
My hand clenched the small vial that was hidden in my pocket hard enough to almost shatter it, But I pulled back once It couldn't take enough. My chest felt tight and my mind was telling me that it wasn't too to break the oath and protect Scarlett from whatever that bastard was planning to do to her.
"You're here" I flinched as I stepped into the dinning room where a lone figure sat with a smile on her face.
'….' My eyes landed on Scarlett who had a slightly bashful expression that made her look adorable.
I felt my heart tremble slightly when I saw that she had dressed up and was wearing a simple black dress. It was loose around her shoulders purposely showing off a deep creamy cleavage while the bottom showed off her thick muscular thighs, I would have enjoyed such a sight I wasn't planning to betray her trust.
'….' I had asked her if she wanted to have dinner together as an excuse to put the vial in her drink as I was requested by that bastard.
"Sorry I'm late" I calmed myself down and put on a small smile that didn't reach my ears.
"It's fine" Scarlett waved her hand not bothered and my eyes landed on the shining ring that showed our love.
The reason I was ten minutes late was because I had paced around the hallway in an attempt to change my mind. I told myself that the continent didn't always need my protection and that me being injured for a while wouldn't be a big deal, But I knew my words were just excuses.
The demons had grown more and more active recently not to mention the first battle with a demon of intelligence. I had no doubt that something big was coming and that wasn't just based on fact's, I could feel it in my gut that a major event would take place although I didn't know what it was.
"Are you okay?" Scarlett asked with slight worry painted on her beautiful face as I was lost in my thoughts.
"Yes sorry" I let out a breath and made my way inside the empty dinning room toward my beloved fiancé.
