Upon hearing the conversation shift to my achievements, I refrained from elaborating further, instead lost in thought. "Since that icy beauty, Tian Hong, uttered a single phrase, I have set my sights on the martial arts cards. Starting from that incomplete nameless martial arts card, my abilities began to accumulate and grow. Jack's cold voice echoed through the helicopter, "It seems my deductions were correct; the abilities on Demon Island require certain opportunities to come together to gradually manifest their efficacy. Aside from Wang Lin, we have all strayed off course."
I was simply fortunate to have found a treasure, the Holy Light Beetle, upon arriving on the island. It was only after activating my spiritual energy that I began to harness the power of the three holy spells associated with the beetle. In serendipity lies necessity; we should be forthright and exchange the treasures and cards we do not need. Only then can we facilitate our growth in power; these swamp dragons are relatively unimportant tasks in comparison.
Jack's suggestion caused the wolf king and Bai Jing Zhenfu to hesitate. I seized the moment, stating, "I need cards or treasures related to martial arts or alchemy. I can offer a unique ability in exchange. If we manage to capture a Thunderbird alive, I could use my newly learned alchemy to implant a pair of wings for everyone, granting us an additional ability."
Jack clutched his sniper rifle, remaining still. Only after the wolf king and Bai Jing Zhenfu displayed signs of enthusiasm did he reluctantly comment, "The ability to transplant the Thunderbird's wings would indeed be impressive, but regrettably, I have nothing to offer for exchange."
Jack was malicious; his earlier remarks intentionally placed me at odds with everyone else. Demon Island is a perilous realm; each individual who arrives here is likely no paragon of virtue. While our team has cultivated a sense of camaraderie, that bond is fundamentally rooted in raw power and self-interest; one must never fully rely on another's support.
