Capítulo 27: Offer of Freedom

"Cough, cough, cough!" Seraphina entered into a violent coughing fit, doubling over as her hands started to tremble. Her face turned pale, her breath coming in ragged gasps.

Lucifer's head turned slightly at the sound, his glowing purple eyes narrowing as he studied her aura, which was black with a slight golden hue and filled with all kinds of emotions—chief among them, a slight fear of him. He had seen this fear evolve over time, but now she was in it for good. She was so afraid of him that she couldn't even stay still, and it would be what he would use to his advantage.

Lucifer had gears shifting in his mind, but that would have to wait. Even if only for a little while, he would have to wait. The time was near perfect, but not quite perfect yet. He turned back to Leone as Seraphina remained immersed in the self-pity of her actions. What she had done could destroy everything she knew, from her birth to now, if she didn't resolve it quickly and efficiently.
