A superbly fantastic novel in short. It involves both humour and painful emotions transmitted through while depicting the bitter realities of the world story is set in. I love psychological elements used by author in how mc and female lead try to one up the other. And please there is no need to worry as mc is not mind controlled or hyonotised retard, he just pretends to pay along to avoid more perilous situations if strongest antagonistic princess discovered she has no control over him. Even in early parts of story by ch 50 or so there are hints of flirting with antagonistic princess and I can smell romance between them in future. Mc is very smarty and has seemingly useless but op abilities depending how he excellently uses them. Overall a nice package 😁 A warning though that there is chance for this story to develop into harem as shown by mc's flirtatious interactions with cat girl in the beginning.

The story is amazing with a decent plot and great characters. BUT. And this is a big but, why is this still being translated by AI. It's fairly popular and has a lot of chapters that people have either paid to unlock or used fast passes for. In short, people are supporting this book. But then why are we are still getting this mess of a translation. You can forget about genders in the story ever being consistent for any of the characters and even the names sometimes gets weirdly translated. AI has done a fairly good job of translating this compared to MTLs back in the days. My problem is not with AI because without it we wouldn't be getting new chapters so consistently but with the lack of attention and care Webnovel gives to these kinds of work. At least hire proper translators to review the books that people are paying to read. This is such a lazy move from a company that make millions. There are no real people involved in translating this work and I can only hope the author gets paid for this book because we don't actually see them interacting with the audience. Are they even aware that it's getting an AI translation? This has been a long rant and I don't know if anyone will even see this. All I want is to support the actual creators of this work not some AI model.

Firstly no story doesn't have mind control and hypnosis is only used playfully to set dynamics between mc and antagonistic princess so that they can open up to each other more 'honestly' without throwing story into chaos due to forced interest and romance as shown in other stories 😅 Story has nice psychological elements used by author in how mc and female lead try to one up the other. Pretty sure , another review won't hurt. not writing one because I'm a pro in critic, I'm a complete worm in the literature world but I freaking love it. Honestly the reminisce of LOTM as I read the book is another major reason but, I came expecting something along what I expected . But instead I got a different story , more better than I expected. it's exciting , beautiful and what more... I freaking love this book. you don't get a 5 because the translation, but yeah, it's already good enough .

Really well executed humor. The arcanum is approved by the Celestial worthy of heaven and Earth, also the main characters have traumatic backgrounds that make it easier to recognise their humanity. The plot is creative in the way it sets the correct pace and emphasis on events of the story but it's not as elaborate as it could have been without the inherent mysticism borrowed from .....🧐. The romantic yandereism has a surprisingly great amount of appeal, it makes things kinda of spicy. PS: I want to know what Lynn did with hand to the black cat in heat 🤣

I just read all the free chapters and then in 1 breath caught up to the latest raws on Qidian. And honest review, would have dropped this immediately at the first sign of smut (and it has a lot of smut) in most worlds… if it didn’t take a non-negligible amount of inspiration from Lord of the Mysteries and if it weren’t written so well. Im fairly confident of its LotM inspiration since it’s a chinese novel, LotM is very very popular in China, and there’re pathways and sequences, gods and rituals, a steampunk setting that’s mentioned but never really touched on afterwards XD, and an mc with fate related powers that are less directly beneficial in terms of strength and gaining powers increasingly similar to Klein’s. And lotm inspiration is in my opinion a very good sign, because I love LotM, and this means the author does too and will more likely write in a style I enjoy. There’s elaborate scheming that reminds me of LotM as well (like there are tools used in earlier chapters that turn out important in the future). Its plot twists aren’t as peak as LotM, but its pacing is very good and its written with care. In other words, it’s a pretty high quality novel that, other than the smut, aligns very well with my preferences. The main character kind of reminds me of a mix of Sunless from Shadow Slave in terms of cunning and spite/arrogance(?), and Kim Dokja from Omniscient Reader in terms of well… you’ll see when you read far enough. There is a little bit of multiple female leads appearing around the 200 chapters mark tho I hope it doesn’t become harem. I quite like the plot points tho I can see some of them may be controversial. Translation is very good. It also MTLs very well. But yes, it’s pretty good, I’d consider it a 8 ish out of 10 but here I’ll give it a 5 star since its readerbase seems small. I will never read it in public, but to yall anonymous fellow readers I will recommend, this is pretty good.

The backup, characters and generally the whole story is really good. I'd give it 5 stars, the only downside is the spelling. I'm sorta confused on who's speaking and who's a man or woman. otherwise it's a great book, not really any smutt though.

Amazing story!! About a transmigrated guy who goes into a game he used to play. The world building is fantastic with a dark undertone to it. The magic system is also pretty well developed, but for our MC he has a cheat system. But the best part is the romance! It’s just so different from the usual MC having a harem thing. I love it :)

An extremely welcome change compared to the usual power leveling novels whose MC's power through most of their problems! This one actually thinks things through and logically solves his crisis step by step in the most interesting ways conceivable. Granted initially on one occasion logic was a bit of a stretch but you won't find yourself bored with this one like many other following the same old cultivation trope. That aside very stable updates, excellent world and character design and a very interesting change the future concept by being in the past rather than going back to change the future. I give this novel a perfect score, must read!
