Priscus was fed up with it at this point. I mean for crying out loud he could handle the entire universe coming into existence via some ancient war. He could deal with the human race being a creation of a being called Ruth, who herself was a creation of a being called Varon, which in his humble opinion was a rather lame name for a God.

But what he couldn't understand was how in the vastness of the cosmos, a young 17-year-old boy, the last of a ragged house long bereft of lordship, should suddenly be told he was some long lost descendent of the first king, and not only that but he had the blood of this so-called Paragon as well?

But before his doubts could manifest into the dismissal of what he was being told, Jade continued the info dump but now with a tone so grave it made Priscus' skin crawl.
