Have you ever been rich?
Like, filthy rich? I haven't, the most I've ever seen of 'exquisite cousine' were leftovers that were simply there to throw away… that I stole because being a busboy fucking sucks, and the pay also fucking sucks.
But from now on, I'm rich, unbelievably rich. Bitcoin exploded, just like I had expected to, but it exploded… too much? I thought I would have to work for a few more years before the price went up the way it did, but damn. The fucking thing went flying before I was able to tell, and suddenly for each bitcoin, sixty-five thousand dollars. Exchange the dollars to Won, and it's almost ninety million won per bitcoin.
To give an idea, the richest man in Korea, per my searches, had, supposedly, about 10 billion dollars.
My amount of Bitcoins were so unbelievably fucking massive, which I guess makes sense because I've been mining that shit for the last 9 years and making so much fucking work in exchange of bitcoin instead of hard cash, that right now… I had triple the money.
Can you even believe it? I had 33 billion dollars, and I'm not even old enough to drive a car nor drink. Ain't that fucking impressive? With the money that I had, I couldn't help myself, and I started my own company, without anyone's help, I even helped my mom and my sister to move into a real house. Hell, I even have my own bike right now.
And before anyone says that I'm drunk on my own power… You may be right, but then again, I'm the richest teenager in Korea, the moment I even came with my company, well, let's just say that a lot of people had become interested in me. Both national and international.
From Charles Choi, to Wang Wei, I had unironically become kind of a big deal. I guess the most impressive part was the fact that I hadn't truly been 'uncovered' as Gapryong Kim's son. Guess they never found out about it somehow.
I've even been going around, building my own gang, the fact that this country pretty much coddles teenagers actually allows me to move in a lot more impunity than you would think so.
"You're Johan, right?" I asked as I looked at him, light brown hair, eyes of the same shade, raggedy ass clothes and stolen sneakers.
"What if I am?" He asked me as he looked at my shoes.
"Do you want to work with me?" I asked him, but he didn't even hear my question.
"Why?" He asked after some moments of looking at my shoes, ah, so he did listen to me.
"Well, I can tell that you're strong, and I'm planning on uniting Gangbuk, so why don't you join forces with me? I'm willing to pay any price." I told him.
"1 billion wo-" "Done." I didn't even let him finish as he looked gobsmacked.
"What?" He asked confused.
"You heard me, done, pronto, it's a deal." I told him as he looked confused.
"Do you even have that much money?" He continued prodding, even as I nodded.
"So…" I paused, not sure on how to continue this.
"Do you want it transferred to your account?" I asked him as he shook his head.
"It doesn't even matter, even with the money, my mom would still have to wait in the line for the surgery." I simply put my hand on his shoulder as I we walked to my company.
————————
"…How rich are you?" He asked incredulous as he looked around
"Pretty rich." I told him as I asked for one of my assistants to make sure that Johan's mom entered the list, the earlier, the better.
"Is… this it? I really thought that… Hmm, have you ever felt like the journey ended suddenly out of nowhere?" He asked as he still couldn't believe it, not even after I deposited half billion won, with the next half billion won coming only next week since well, taxes and shit.
"Well, being rich does facilitate a whole lot, but what do you think? Do you wanna help me join Gangbuk under a Crew?" I asked him as he nodded.
"You did pay me… Boss." That's what I'm talking about.
"Don't worry Johan, under my guidance, the two of us will get some of the harshest training known to man, but boy you will be glad that we did so." I told him as I slapped him in the back a few times.
"What?" He asked perplexed, and was he afraid? Maybe, probably…
I didn't answer him, but boy, let's just say that money can buy a whole lot of fighters to train under. Some known, some unknown, some unbelievably fucking surprising to see that they existed to begin with, but fuck it.
Soon enough, we formed 'The Worst' based on a manga that I've read some time ago, and we expanded, most people get confused when they hear about us because we don't really commit any kind of crimes besides beating other people up when required. Not only we had gotten all of K-House to follow us, although that was mostly on part due to Johan just beating Jin Jang until they followed us.
Soon enough, we went through all of Gangbuk, conquering land after land.
"Jin Jang, since you're a smart guy, what can we do to make money? Legally, of course, I don't really need to dirty my hands with something silly like drug trafficking when my company makes so much money without much input from myself." I tell him as he looks stumped. Probably so used to making dirty money that he can't just snap his fingers and come up with a solution.
"Legal money isn't exactly my good point, sir, but I will try." He said, sulking like I forced him to eat lemon or something.
"Don't worry about it, it's not like we're not making good money already." I told him as we were sitting on the lounge, where all of the 'main members' were sitting at.
"Boss, no offense, but why are we even a crew?" Scott Kwon, the boxer that Jin Jang had in his group before they were overwhelmed and forced to work with us, asked, confused.
"I don't get it, are you complaining or just actually confused?" I asked him back as he shook his head.
"I mean, you already make enough money to not need a crew, right? So like, is this some sort of roleplay kind of deal?" He asked, and although the others didn't vocalize their thoughts… Well, they were pretty obvious when they wanted something.
"I don't want to go into details, but I have unfinished business that I will explain better once we consolidate our power in Gangbuk, and well, the rest of Seoul." I may not be all that connected with Gapryong, but fuck you Charles, I will make sure to you rip your asshole faster than that Red Envelope could.
They didn't push, thank God, but still. Is it strange that we managed to become an bigger group this way?
Even the likes of Seok, Hajun and Jaeha joined us, we still haven't really consolidated power amongst those at North of Gangbuk, but it was a work in progress.
Couldn't really let them outpace me though, they've been increasing in strength, due to the training that my company has been putting them through, but if this keeps up, I feel like I will just fall back into irrelevancy. That's why I've been hiring even stronger people for one reason, and that it was to train me.
This one was an native American, went by the name of Navarro, he was an all-rounder that went around learning martial arts from all around the globe, and he was an ex-convict because he was drug trafficking, which is why I went the extra mile and made sure that he wouldn't be recognized when he got here.
I really wanted to catch someone from the Kengan circles, but none of them were up to teach a chickenshit like me.
But Navarro wanted or needed the money, which I had more than enough to provide with.
Even considered sending someone to locate Tiger Niko, but that would not only probably kill them, and then send someone from Worm to Korea, which was certainly bad for me. I decided to watch Samdak's videos instead as I kept training.
I can't just fall behind.
I apologize for the tardiness, I was preparing for my presentation for end of Course, so I had to make double sure that I passed (Which I did), now I have more free time to write, but I will try to update weekly so that I can have a backlog instead of just dumping chapters every single second, I hope you appreciate this chapter.
