Capítulo 11: Chapter 11: Chasing and Blocking

Jon rode until dawn, then stopped near a small pond.

All the money and food he had on him were left at Dom's house, and he didn't even have time to take the kettle with him. After running away for a whole night, Jon was now exhausted and in urgent need of rest.

He didn't care whether the water was clean or not, at least it didn't seem to have any impurities, so he bent down and scooped water with his hands to quench his thirst.

A man, a horse and a wolf all put their heads into the water, causing ripples on the originally calm water surface.

After drinking a lot, Jon patted the address book hidden in his clothes that contained the addresses entrusted by the Night's Watch soldiers, and felt slightly relieved.

He is a man who keeps his promises. He will not easily agree to other people's requests, but once he agrees, he will try his best to do it.

Even if he couldn't find a few people at that time, he would still go to all the places he should go.

After making sure the address book was still safe, Jon took off his shoes, found some tiny fish in the water, processed them simply, and ate them raw. He needed food so badly right now. An indescribable fishy-sweet taste spread in his mouth, and his almost exhausted strength slowly recovered.

"The Wall cannot command Last Hearth. Someone must have informed Ned, and Ned, as the Warden of the North, gave the order to the Greatjon."

If you think about it carefully, Ned and the Greatjon are a good choice to capture him. First of all, there is the geographical location. Secondly, the Greatjon's loyalty is very reliable, and he is very suitable to help Ned deal with such things.

Just as Jon was leaning against a big tree, thinking and preparing to rest for a while, Ghost, who was lying on the side to rest, suddenly pricked up his ears and looked back vigilantly.

Noticing its movement, Jon ran to the water and splashed it on his face before climbing back onto his horse.

The black horse under his crotch ran laboriously up to a high ground, surrounded by mostly barren and bleak fields that had just been harvested.

Jon looked around and found that there was another group of people coming in front of him, there seemed to be about ten of them, and they were only three to five hundred meters away from him. He could even see that the knight in the lead was particularly majestic, probably either the Greatjon or the Smalljon.

Of course, there was a ditch between them and Jon, so if they wanted to catch up with him, the team would have to take a detour.

Seeing that there were blockers in front and pursuers behind, Jon made up his mind and turned his horse around. He thought that the so-called 'Sir Kent' who was chasing him was probably very tired by now, so he would use the experience card and give him a surprise attack!

"Hmm? Why did he go back? Isn't Lord Kent in that direction?"

Smalljon's subordinates raised questions, but another guy who looked very smart took the opportunity to flatter him.

"Look at how skinny Lord Stark's bastard is. He must be afraid of Lord Umber, so he panicked."

Smalljon seemed to be very pleased with it, and said to his men with a somewhat smug tone:

"Hurry up and chase him. Once we catch him, we can go back to sleep."

After learning that Jon's whereabouts had been discovered, Smalljon got up from bed late at night and set off without even putting on his armor.

Fortunately, there are guards in Last Hearth every day, so he only needs to give a call and a dozen fully armed soldiers will follow him to capture.

So Jon made a quick comparison and determined which direction he should go to have a chance.

Jon shook them off and soon saw Kent and his group.

Jon stood on a slope about four meters high, just high enough to look down at Kent, Dom and others.

Kent himself was only a viscount, with a medium-sized manor at home and a dozen knights under his command. However, he came out in a hurry in the evening, and he thought that there was no need to make a big fuss to capture a fifteen or sixteen-year-old boy.

So he took only his squire to capture Jon.

Among them was Whitey, his new squire, and because squires enjoyed a much better standard of living than peasants, he was eager to show himself in front of his lord.

Whitey, with a somewhat messy face, said to Kent excitedly, "Sir, that deserter can't escape anymore. I'll go and catch him for you."

Kent adjusted his beard. According to what the Great Jon had said, the soldier was a new recruit of the Night's Watch. He probably had average or even no martial arts skills. So he agreed: "Let's see if he is willing to surrender first. We must try our best to send him back to Winterfell alive."

"My Lord, I understand!"

After saying this, Whitey kicked his horse's belly and headed towards Jon.

Jon gradually saw the person coming, and saw excitement in his black eyes, as if he was already in his pocket.

If it was a foot battle, Jon could tell the opponent's strength from his steps, but it was not easy to judge on horseback. However, when small lords like Kent chose their followers, they probably chose from the farmers or hunters under their command.

Most of these people are from unconventional backgrounds, so their martial arts skills are not necessarily that high.

But to be on the safe side, it would be better to let the other party reveal some flaws as much as possible, so Jon pretended to be trembling with fear, so that Whitey would relax his vigilance against him.

Whiteley saw that Jon couldn't even hold the spear tightly, so he couldn't help but feel a little contempt in his heart. So he stroked his messy hair and said with a hint of impatience: "Come down and follow me quickly. You bastard, you can really run. I chased you all night!"

After saying that, he threw the rope to the ground and motioned for Jon to tie himself up.

But after a while, he saw Jon still sitting motionless on his horse, so he shouted, "What! Are you deaf!"

Jon remained motionless.

Whiteley was already very angry at this time. The thought that Lord Kent was watching him from behind, and that this 'cowardly' deserter dared to confront him, made him even more upset.

"You son of a bitch!"

Finally, Whitey couldn't hold back any longer and rode closer to Jon. He raised his spear and swept it across, trying to knock Jon off his horse.

However, what happened next made him unable to believe his eyes.

Jon grabbed her lance and wrenched the weapon from him, then used the butt of the lance to knock him off his horse.

Whitey fell heavily to the ground, still with an incredible look on his face.

When Kent and others in the distance saw this scene, they immediately realized that Jon was going to "violently resist arrest."

Dom, who was standing by, felt even more frightened after seeing this. Jon was able to snatch weapons from other people, which showed how powerful he was. Fortunately, he did not have the intention to kill him at that time, otherwise his whole family would have been in danger.

Before Kent and others could take the next step, Jon had already rushed over on his horse from the high slope and launched a one-man charge towards them!
