"Today, we'll be measuring various magical abilities you possess," Theo declared.

Damien realized that today would be his last day. Images of himself being charred by fire magic flashed in his mind.

"Don't worry, I won't put you in any danger," Theo reassured him. "Well, I'll keep it within a range that won't hurt too much, so you can relax."

Sure, he thought. He already knew that wouldn't be entirely true.

"Um… I'm sorry, but it might hurt a little," Theo added, the slight fog around him confirming Damien's apprehensions.
