Capítulo 7: Chapter 7: Summoning the Storm

The sun rose slowly over Kumogakure, casting long shadows across the village. The air was thick with the anticipation of a new challenge, one Ei had not yet faced. She stood on a rocky plateau just outside the village, her gaze fixed on the horizon as the sky brightened. Today would be her first day training with Yae, her summoning beast.

Though she had summoned Yae before, it had always been brief. They had fought together in minor skirmishes, but nothing compared to the intensity of what was to come. Ei clenched her fists, excitement and nerves battling within her. Her father's words from the previous day echoed in her mind: *You must become something more.*

With the wind tugging at her hair, she performed the summoning jutsu. In a flash of smoke, a massive figure appeared before her—Yae, the sage fox with shimmering pink fur and eyes that gleamed like lightning. The air around her crackled with energy, and for a moment, the world felt electrified.

Yae's form towered over Ei, elegant and terrifying all at once. Her nine tails swayed gently behind her, each one a symbol of her vast power. Her presence was both regal and otherworldly, befitting her status as a sage of lightning and illusions.

"You called, Princess?" Yae's voice echoed in Ei's mind, smooth and melodic, but laced with amusement. There was a playful energy in her words, though she never failed to show respect to her summoner.

Ei straightened her posture. "Father says it's time for us to train together. I need to refine my technique, and I can't think of anyone better suited to help me than you."

Yae's eyes narrowed slightly, her lips curling into a sly smile. "Ah, so the great Raikage believes in you enough to trust me with your training. Interesting." She circled around Ei, her massive paws making barely a sound on the rocky terrain. "I must say, you've grown much since the last time we met."

Ei smiled. "I've been working hard. But I still have a long way to go."

Yae nodded approvingly. "Humility is a good trait, but don't let it stop you from reaching for greatness. You're destined for more than just strength, Ei. There's something deeper within you, waiting to be unleashed."

Ei's eyes flickered with determination. "That's why we're here, isn't it? To find that deeper strength."

Yae chuckled softly, her tails flicking through the air. "Indeed. But strength is not always about brute force, nor is it simply about mastering techniques. There's an art to combat, a balance between mind and body. That's what we'll be focusing on today."

The wind picked up as Yae settled into a crouch, her sharp gaze never leaving Ei. "First, let's see how well you can handle yourself against illusions. Are you ready, Princess?"

Ei's heart raced, but she nodded firmly. "I'm ready."

Without another word, Yae's form shimmered, then disappeared, leaving behind a faint trail of lightning that crackled in the air. The world around Ei shifted, the landscape warping as the illusion took hold. The rocky plateau was gone, replaced by a dense forest, the trees towering high above her. The wind rustled through the leaves, but there was no sign of Yae.

Ei closed her eyes, focusing on her surroundings. She had trained against illusions before, but none like this. Yae's mastery over them was unparalleled, and Ei knew she would have to rely on more than just her senses to break free.

*Feel the lightning, not just see it,* she reminded herself. It was something Yae had told her during one of their brief encounters. Ei concentrated, reaching out with her chakra to sense the electrical signals in the environment around her.

The trees buzzed faintly with bioelectric energy, but it was hard to discern anything unusual. She could feel the life force of the forest, but nothing seemed out of place. Then, a flicker—a subtle disturbance in the flow of energy, barely noticeable but there nonetheless.

Without hesitation, Ei darted to her right, just in time to avoid a bolt of lightning that struck where she had been standing. The attack was fast, nearly invisible, but Ei's instincts had kicked in. She didn't have time to second-guess herself. She moved, her body propelled by the Lightning Chakra Mode.

Another flash, and this time, Yae appeared out of thin air, her eyes glowing with mischief. "Good. You're learning to sense the flow of energy, but you'll have to be faster than that, Princess."

Ei didn't respond. Instead, she focused on Yae's movements, her eyes narrowing as she watched the fox dart between the trees, her form flickering in and out of existence. The forest around them seemed to shift with each of Yae's movements, the line between reality and illusion blurring further with every second.

Ei's body tensed as she felt another disturbance in the flow of energy, this time from above. She jumped just as a wave of energy crashed down, the ground where she had been standing erupting in sparks.

Yae's laughter echoed through the trees. "You're relying too much on your eyes. Close them."

Ei hesitated for only a moment before obeying. She shut her eyes, letting the world around her fade into darkness. All that remained was the crackle of electricity in the air and the faint hum of chakra.

In the silence, she could feel it—the rhythm of the world, the pulse of energy flowing through everything around her. The trees, the earth, the air… and Yae.

Without warning, Ei launched forward, her eyes still closed, moving purely on instinct. She dodged another bolt of lightning, her body twisting gracefully as she avoided Yae's next strike. Her muscles burned with the effort, but she pushed forward, her chakra flowing more freely now that her mind was focused.

With a burst of speed, Ei closed the gap between her and Yae, her fist crackling with energy as she aimed for the fox's flank. But just before her punch could land, Yae vanished, her form dissolving into thin air.

Ei opened her eyes, her breath coming in sharp bursts. The forest was gone, replaced by the rocky plateau once more. Yae stood a few feet away, her eyes gleaming with approval.

"Well done, Princess," Yae said, her voice soft but full of praise. "You've learned to feel the flow of energy, to trust your instincts. That's the first step in mastering both illusion and lightning."

Ei nodded, though her body ached from the intensity of the training. She had barely managed to keep up with Yae, but the progress she had made was undeniable. There was something exhilarating about fighting with nothing but her senses, something that pushed her beyond her usual limits.

Yae approached her, her massive form towering over Ei once again. "Remember, Ei, strength comes from understanding. Lightning is not just a tool for destruction. It's a force of nature, a part of you. The more you understand it, the more it will obey your will."

Ei looked up at Yae, her determination burning even brighter. "I understand. I have a long way to go, but I'll keep pushing myself until I'm worthy of the power I've been given."

Yae's smile was gentle, her tails swaying softly behind her. "You are already on that path. But for now, rest. You've earned it."

Ei nodded, her body relaxing as the tension of the battle faded. She knew there was still much to learn, but today had been a victory in its own way. She had taken the first step toward mastering the deeper aspects of her power, and with Yae by her side, she knew she could go even further.

As Yae disappeared in a flash of lightning, Ei stood alone on the plateau, the wind rustling through her hair. Her heart was still pounding, but it was no longer from the battle. It was from the excitement of what lay ahead.

*I will become something more,* she thought, clenching her fists. *For myself. For Kumogakure. And for the future.*
