Capítulo 8: Advice, Wizheads, and more Rat Behavior

It took them an hour and a half to beat Wizard City from the Harvest Lord and Naruto even had to refill his time just to complete it.

They decided to stop questing for the day as the time struck 9:30 at night.

For the next 30 minutes, they decided to keep farming Lord Nightshade for the level 10 spellements. Storm Shark for Naruto, Sprite for Sakura, Locust Swarm for Kakashi, and Sunbird for Sasuke. The game informed them that the shop would be closing an hour ago, so they had some time.

There was also the Level 15 gear, but not even Naruto was at that level, he was the highest at 14. The rest were level 12 and hadn't done any of their spell quests yet. The blond only did one and not the level 12 spell quest. It would've been nice if he did since it gave Storm Blade which amplified his attacks, but alas.

Naruto, having great luck, got a pretty damn good wand.

The Ascendant Staff gave him an extra pip so he could cast Lightning Bats first round. If he bladed, he could've done Storm Shark which would've done incredible damage.

Assuming he didn't fizzle, it seems not even his luck could save him from that.

Team 7 logged off and exited VR.

"Marashi-san, today has been the best day ever!" Naruto changed his honorific showing just how much he had enjoyed the games.

"Thank you, Marashi-san." Sakura bowed politely, not to the same energy levels as her teammate, but still had a great time.

"It was certainly interesting. Alright, kids, it's late. We'll meet up for a mission tomorrow morning at 7." Kakashi addressed his students.

"You're going to be late again!" Both Sakura and Naruto yelled at him, knowing of his chronic illness of tardiness.

"Anyways, later!" Kakashi waved and disappeared with a Shunshin, or Body Flicker.

"Sasuke-kun, do you want to…" She didn't get the chance as he was directly leaving.

"Sakura-chan, how about…" Naruto was hit on the head.

"No way!" Sakura stormed out of the shop.

"Darn, I can't catch a break." Naruto plopped down comically in defeat, but then he perked up. "Hey! You are super strong to defeat the Xebec guy. Do you think once I get as strong as you, she'll go on a date with me?!" He looked at the store owner as if he were a wise sage.

Marashi was conflicted. Hinata was the obvious choice, but…Boruto…

Sakura also had that false love confession which pissed many people off in the fandom including him…

Truly a dilemma.

Well, in reality, Hinata is just a better choice than going after someone who doesn't have any such interest. Chasing after a girl who doesn't want that kind of relationship with you, is just a lesson in futility.

"Naruto, even if you become Hokage, she won't feel the same way. Her choice is Sasuke and that's just how it is. If you keep pressing, then you could ruin your friendship. I assume you don't want that." Marashi advised.

Naruto, initially wanting to deny it, couldn't help but face the facts. He never really had friends, so the thought of losing one was painful to imagine. His interest in her had been known for years and she never reciprocated, so combined with Marashi's direct advice, he took it to heart.

He sighed.

"Darn, what do I do now?" He couldn't help but question.

"Do you want a girlfriend?" Marashi asked.

He turned red.

"Well, I've always wanted a family, so having one would be the first step, right?" That was surprisingly smart of him and understandable. He had always been ostracized by the village and a need for connection, friends, and family has been on his mind. It was something he chased. He even resorted to pranks just to be noticed. Any attention is good attention.

"Go for Hinata Hyuga. I have a feeling that she likes you in the same way you like Sakura." Marashi didn't know what would come from this, but he didn't care. Perhaps they would have dates here at the computer cafe?

He truly was Muy Money Marashi…he really needs to come up with something else.

"Thanks, Marashi-san!" Naruto ran out to head back home considering it was 10 pm.

The blond suddenly stopped in confusion.

'Who's Hinata?'

Marashi closed the shop and went over his stats.

He felt perfectly fine throughout the day, so his investment in vitality paid off.

His points now amounted to 20,000, so he had quite the stockpile. The next game costs 50,000, but he decides to hold off on that. He had, in total, 5 customers. Team 7 and Hayate. There's no point in adding another game, so saving for it wasn't a priority.

Instead, he spent 10,000 points on another 5 PCs which immediately appeared. He also bought some ramen for dinner.

If he wanted to raise his vitality again, it would cost 6,000 points and that felt unnecessary. He could raise the rest of his stats to C which was tempting. The question was if it even made a difference considering he had 2 and a half years of protection.

In the end, he only bought the next upgrade of PCs which gave him a total of 15.

He felt that he was quite set.

The night came and went as Marashi woke up at 6 am. He did his morning routine and made himself a cup of tea with ramen from the machine. After that, he put up some Wizard101 posters, as he didn't do so yesterday.

He played a bit of Wizard101 reaching level 10 before he opened the store at 7.

A ding came from the store doorbell and he was quite surprised by what he saw.

Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura were here. Wait…

"Don't you have to meet with Kakashi at this time?" Marashi was confused.

"He'll be 3 hours later anyway, so what does it matter? We can play for a bit!" Naruto laughed as if he was an evil genius.

Sasuke and Sakura also nodded.

Naruto loaded up 3 hours and got on Wizard101. While he was a bit peeved that Kakashi was always late, he wouldn't quest without him, so he would farm and do side quests instead.

His other teammates decided to play COD and play through some more missions. They paid for two more hours for a total of 3 on their cards.

After an hour passed, Marashi's lip twitched in amusement as Kakashi walked in.

"Yo! I'll be–" Kakashi took a look at who was sitting at the computers and he was visibly annoyed.

'Bro, you're doing the same thing.' Marashi thought in exasperation.

He tapped each of them and the three of them looked frightened.

"He wanted to come!" Sasuke and Sakura immediately threw him under the bus.

"Huh?!" Naruto looked betrayed.

Kakashi already looked done for the day.

"Since we're all here, let's head over to the tower for a mission, actually, three missions, since you're all so eager." Kakashi looked like the devil casting judgment, but the next moment gave him a shock.

"Really?! Alright, let's go! I'm running out of money to play!" Naruto practically bolted out of the store.

Sasuke and Sakura felt the same way while following after.

Marashi had to hold back everything so as not to start laughing at Kakashi's face.

'Was he not complaining about D-ranks yesterday?' The silver-haired man thought the change was quite sudden. If playing these games got him to stop complaining, then he'll take that as a win.

Kakashi bid farewell and left.

He prepared for another slow day before Team 7 came back but he got a massive surprise as the doors flew open.

Konohamaru, Moegi, and Udon rushed in.

That was surprising considering the academy should have classes. It's Wednesday.

What was also shocking was the trail of kids behind them. He counted 6. There were a few that were recognizable.

Hanabi Hyuga which was odd considering that she should be younger than Konohamaru, but she could've skipped a year. He wasn't entirely sure.

He also saw an Inuzuka, Aburame, Yamanaka, Akimichi, and a Nara.

Marashi never knew that Konohamaru had a class with all these clan students, but it sort of made sense considering he is the grandson of the Third Hokage, so putting him in a class with the Konoha clans made sense.

"Yo, Marashi-san!" Konohamaru called which surprised him. Did he meet up with Naruto before coming here to change his way of speaking to him, or was he enlightened by the gaming experience? Who knows.

He had a feeling that he would have academy kids or even civilians coming to play which is why he doesn't allow those under 10 to play COD. It may seem strange since they are training to become killers, but since he didn't play COD until that age, he set the rule.

They still had Wizard101 which was perfect for their age. Perhaps the game was a blessing in disguise. He had COD for the older players and Wizard101 for the younger ones.

"These your friends?" Marashi asked and Konohamaru nodded.

"That's Hanabi, Koji, Daiki, Ichiro, Yakura, and Takita." He introduced in order.

They all said their greetings apart from Hanabi, she just stared at him.

"Alright. Let's play!" Konohamaru cheered along with his two companions while the other students didn't know if he was pulling a prank or not. The store was very unique so perhaps it was real.

Marashi handed out cards to those that are new and paid for the hour while Konohamaru, Moegi, and Udon stocked up with 3 hours.

Konohamaru showed them the ropes and they all got on Wizard101. He also knew that only four people could be in a battle at once so they divided into 3 groups of 3. Konohamaru's group was the same so they kept questing.

Hanabi, Takita Nara, and Koji Inuzuka were one group and Daiki Aburame, Ichiro Yamanaka, and Yakura Akimichi were another group.

Hanabi chose Storm, Takita was Life since she thought that was the easiest, and Koji chose Myth since it sounded cool.

Daiki chose Death, Ichiro was Fire, and Yakura chose Ice.

They quested for about 30 minutes before responsibility showed up at the front door.

"What's going on in here?!" Iruka's big head jutsu was on full display as he entered the shop. How he found them was a mystery. He seems to have a gift for tracking down students who are playing hooky.

Marashi, with his system, forced them out of the game to confront their teacher.

"Iruka-sensei!" Konoha shouted in fright. The others looked scared upon being caught.

"Get back to class, come on!" Iruka was annoyed but also relieved that they were all together so he wouldn't have to run all over the village. He took notice of the strange shop. "Today is a school day. How come you let them stay here?"

Marashi's eyebrow raised.

"Oh really? I forgot." He went back to his book.

As he saw the cover of the book, Iruka got more angry.

"Back to class!" Iruka made sure all of them were out before taking one last look at the owner and the store. His students were wearing something on their heads while staying completely still. This made him nervous about what kind of store this was. Along with the strange devices and the screens showing some kind of moving images, he had no idea what was going on.

He'd have to ask the Third Hokage about it during his lunch break.

If Marashi knew of his intentions, he wouldn't care.

The Third Hokage could come and if he started playing on a regular basis, wouldn't that be great for business if others constantly saw their leader enter his shop?

He'd definitely need more computers.

Anyway, back to Icha Icha Violence.

Life was quite good right now.

Marashi wonders who else will visit his computer cafe today.

===

Another chapter down.

Who else will step foot in the store?

As word gets around, will he be able to keep up with the demand?

Until next time!
