Inside the experimental base, Stryker, clad in a white coat with gray hair, monitored the progress of the subjects on the test bench.
The experiment had reached its final stage, and despite the lack of testing, he felt confident about this subject.
The fusion of mutant abilities… Weapon XI was the most perfect creation he had ever made.
"This is just the beginning…" Stryker murmured, turning to his team. "How much longer?"
"Final adjustments will take several more hours."
Stryker nodded in satisfaction, gazing at Weapon XI on the bench, feeling a whirlwind of emotions—anxiety, excitement, anticipation.
His thoughts drifted to his frozen son, Jason Stryker. As an awakened mutant, Jason had lost control of his powers, creating illusions that drove his mother insane. In a tragic act, she took her own life with a chainsaw.
He would never forget the relieved smile on her bloodied face before she died.
It was because of Jason that he recognized the horrors of mutants and solidified his resolve to hunt them down.
"William, congratulations, you've succeeded."
A man in a black suit emerged from the shadows, smiling.
Stryker glanced at him, a slight smile forming. "You should be pleased this time, Shadow."
Shadow nodded. "The master wants me to take your collection this time."
"Of course, but it'll take time. I need to gather some blood for my experiments."
Shadow raised a finger, a thick black line shooting out and wrapping around a chair and pulling it toward him. He sat down on it checking the time. "Hurry."
"Colonel Stryker!" Suddenly, a researcher pointed at the monitoring screen, fear evident in his voice. "Weapon X is here!"
"What?" Stryker rushed to check the screen.
He saw two figures charging into the depths of the experimental base, effortlessly dispatching anyone who stood in their way.
"That is…"
Stryker's gaze shifted from Logan to Mike. "Is that the mutant Agent Zero mentioned?"
His brows knitted tightly.
Given the power displayed, the soldiers under his command stood no chance against them.
"Victor!"
Stryker shouted as a figure with taunt muscle descended from the ceiling, his eyes full of ferocity.
Victor eyed Shadow, clenching his hands slowly, like a beast ready to pounce. "You want me to stop them?"
"Right!" Stryker said calmly.
Victor grinned. "Inject me with the alloy afterward."
"Hehe!" Before Stryker could respond, Shadow chuckled softly.
Victor narrowed his eyes, a fierce aura emanating from him. "Don't look at me like that!"
Shadow smirked, a sarcastic smile present on his face. "You and adamantium are not suitable. You will die if you're injected now. Besides, you couldn't have even stopped that mad dog Logan alone with your current strength, let alone stop them now, when there are two people."
Victor angrily gritted his teeth as he said "Do you have a death wish?"
He hated it most when others compared him to Logan, especially when they thought that he was not as good as Logan.
"Don't be angry, you can prove me wrong later. As for the other person, leave it to me."
Victor snorted coldly, but Stryker breathed a sigh of relief and said, "Thanks."
He turned to look at the surveillance screen and asked in confusion "Where's the other guy?"
He suddenly realised that Mike had disappeared.
He quickly walked to the console and started checking the screens to find any clue of Mike.
Stryker kept checking the screens but he couldn't find Mike at all.
It was as if Mike had disappeared, and there was no trace of him at all.
Stryker's eyebrows knitted together, and he felt inexplicably uneasy.
He immediately looked at the shadow whose half body was hidden in the darkness and said, "The guy who came with Logan is missing. Maybe he is hiding in the dark."
Shadow frowned and said "I know, I will pay attention."
At this moment a "boom!" sounded.
The door of the laboratory was kicked open and an angry figure rushed in.
Suddenly, everyone looked at Logan.
"Wow, wow, isn't this my little Wolverine?"
Victor teased, as sharp nails grew on the fingertips of his hands and his eyes became dangerous.
"Victor!" Logan hissed as he showed his sharp claws, and rushed straight towards Victor.
Seeing this, Stryker said to the horrified researchers, "Ignore them and continue."
Stryker knows that Logan is currently dominated by his hatred. At this time, he only has Victor in his eyes and doesn't care about them at all.
As Logan and Victor were fighting each other...
Another "Bang!" sounded.
Suddenly there was a gunshot.
A bullet was about to hit Stryker in the face but was blocked by a shadow shield.
A trace of cold sweat appeared on Stryker's forehead. He looked at the shadow who was slowly getting up with gratitude, and quickly hid aside.
"Haha, disappointed?" The shadow chuckled and looked at Mike who was standing on the roof opposite to them.
The shadow behind him expanded like a balloon and wrapped around his body, and pulled him into the shadow behind him.
The next second, it appeared in a dark corner not far from Mike.
Mike frowned and looked at the shadow cast by the building behind him.
He activated the assassin's time, his heart began beating violently, and he quickly ran to the edge of the roof. A card appeared in his hand.
When he fell from the roof, the card turned into motes of light and disappeared, and Senbon zakura appeared in his hand.
The more times he materialises a certain weapon, the more familiar he becomes with it and the less materialisation power he consumes when materialising it, and at the same time the weapon becomes more powerful as well.
"Whoosh, whoosh!"
The black shadow materialised and stabbed at him from behind.
Mike turned around and blocked it with his knife, then bent his legs and fell to the ground.
"Scatter, Senbonzakura."
As Shadow chased after him with a sneer, Mike recited the Senbonzakura's liberation words.
The blade shattered, and the tiny pieces of the blade looked like flying petals in the sunlight, rolling towards the shadows with a dangerous aura.
