With an exuberant spirit, Leng Rongrong dashed into the villa. "Has my piano arrived?"
In the courtyard, Mo Linyuan sat in his wheelchair, with Tang Luo standing behind him. Both wore peculiar expressions as they gazed at a massive cage before them, draped with a cloth that barely concealed one corner.
It was evidently an iron cage.
Upon hearing Leng Rongrong's voice, Mo Linyuan and Tang Luo instinctively turned to look at her, their eyes silently questioning, *What strange item have you purchased this time?*
"Excuse me, where should this be placed?" the delivery man inquired, looking at Mo Linyuan.
"Ask her," Mo Linyuan replied, gesturing toward Leng Rongrong.
Bouncing with delight like a joyful little rabbit, she exclaimed, "Just place the piano in the main hall!"
"Surely, this cannot be a piano," Mo Linyuan remarked, his dark eyes scrutinizing her. "Pianos don't require confinement in a cage."
"Not a piano?"
"I haven't bought anything large," she insisted. "Aside from the piano, everything else is rather small."
She eyed the large cage with suspicion.
"Let me see what's inside," she urged the delivery man.
He promptly lifted the covering cloth.
A sudden cacophony erupted from within as a beast collided violently against the bars.
The delivery men recoiled in shock, stepping back several paces.
Mo Linyuan squinted as he discerned the creature within.
A wolf!
It appeared to be a living wolf, exuding an aura of fierce menace. How could it possibly have been delivered here? Could it be a ploy by someone from the Mo family, intent on tormenting them?
"Storm!"
Upon recognizing the creature, Leng Rongrong's face lit up with joy. "Oh, it's you! I thought I hadn't purchased anything so large; it's just you coming back!"
Her excitement was mirrored by the creature inside the cage, which thrashed about, attempting to escape, eager to break free, though the cage was securely locked.
"Don't get too excited!" she called out. "Storm, calm down! I'll let you out right away!"
"What is this creature?" The delivery men gasped, startled, bracing themselves to flee to their vehicle.
"It's just a rather large dog—nothing to fear! It's very obedient and gentle!" she reassured them. "Where's the key to this cage? Once I let Storm out, I'll need you to move the cage to the backyard."
"Let it out?" The delivery men nearly fainted. "What if it bites? It's so large; forgive me for saying this, but if it loses control, it could be terrifying! Someone might get seriously hurt! We refuse to do it!"
Leng Rongrong pouted slightly. "Storm is very well-behaved; he really won't bite. I'll give each of you an extra hundred if you help me move the cage."
Upon hearing of the extra pay, the delivery men reluctantly agreed.
Yet as Leng Rongrong prepared to release Storm, they instinctively took several steps back.
As soon as the cage was opened, Storm bolted out.
He lunged toward Leng Rongrong, a massive creature with a coat of pure white fur resembling a giant Samoyed. His eyes, framed with long lashes, conveyed a fierce yet adorable demeanor, though due to his size, the word *cute* felt somewhat inappropriate.
Storm was nearly as large as an adult horse—exceedingly impressive.
"Wait, Storm, calm down!" Leng Rongrong attempted to halt his advance, but Storm showed no sign of stopping. In an instant, he knocked her to the ground.
Leng Rongrong: …
"Oh my goodness, this creature is going to eat me!"
The delivery men, frightened, turned to flee to their truck.
"Madam!" Tang Luo also jumped at Storm's sudden appearance, ready to assist.
However, they soon heard Leng Rongrong's peals of laughter.
"Storm, calm down! Not so rough—oh, that tickles! No, stop that, don't play like this! Ahahaha!"
As she writhed on the ground, embracing Storm, the onlookers could only stare in disbelief.
"Ha ha ha…"
After a fit of laughter, Leng Rongrong finally stood, dusting herself off. Though covered in dirt, she paid it no mind. First, she brushed the dust from Storm's coat, then turned to the delivery men. "Please, could you move this cage to the backyard for me?"
Seeing Storm's lack of aggression, they found his appearance somewhat charming. When he opened his mouth, he resembled a large, friendly dog, and their fear dissipated.
After a flurry of activity, they successfully relocated the large cage to the backyard.
Leng Rongrong settled their payment, thanking them profusely.
"Thank you, ma'am," they bowed in gratitude, then inquired, "What breed is this dog? I've never heard of such a species before."
"Um, to be honest, I'm not quite sure," Leng Rongrong chuckled. "He grew up with me. He was quite small as a puppy, but I suppose due to his appetite, he's grown exceptionally large!"
The delivery men, sensing her reluctance to divulge specifics, merely nodded, exchanged pleasantries, and assured her to call them again if she needed anything moved, before driving away.
Once they departed, Leng Rongrong embraced Storm once more.
"Storm, I've missed you so much!"
She pressed her face against his, playfully nuzzling. His fur was soft, warm, and carried a faint, pleasant scent.
One could only assume that the fathers had helped him bathe before bringing him here.
Storm's coat was pure white, free from any impurities, rendering him exceedingly beautiful.
Mo Linyuan observed from nearby, and after a long moment, he remarked dryly, "A wolf?"
Leng Rongrong glanced back at him. "...a dog."
"Do you think I'm blind?" Mo Linyuan raised an eyebrow.
Leng Rongrong replied, "...he's registered, and can be kept legally. Besides, he's very gentle and doesn't bite. He'll guard the house and protect you."
Mo Linyuan countered, "I never said you couldn't keep him."
Relieved, Leng Rongrong breathed out, "Thank you!"
After expressing her gratitude, she began chatting animatedly with Storm, asking him about the fathers and whether he knew anything about their recent activities.
"Oh, are the fathers coming over?"
"No, that won't do! What would they come for? Didn't we agree that I would handle things myself?"
If all the fathers appeared unexpectedly, it would surely stir up a storm of chaos!
