Capítulo 42: Deathbirds

After Persephone spoke she sent Leo back to the real world but he didn't wake up straight away. A few hours later he felt himself being dragged out of the water, causing him to open his eyes.

He spotted the mature woman Thalira dragging him out of the rushing river while struggling. Leo groaned before coughing up some water and rolling over as he spoke in a strained voice, ''Thank you for helping me, Thal.''

The lilac-haired woman looked at him with her beautiful red eyes as she replied, ''No problem but get up, we need to find a safe place to rest before the Dark Ones appear.''

Leo nodded before climbing to his feet and followed the knight as they trekked through the eerie woods. He used Mana Echo only to sense thousands of monsters surrounding them which made his blood run cold.

'I can't fight that many, they will swamp me before killing her' he thought as Thalira pointed north.
