Capítulo 57: Chapter 57: The Exam Begins, Naruto's Poor Naruto
The Next Day
Naruto, Sasuke (now called Sako), and Sakura received an application from Kakashi recommending them to take the Chūnin Exams. Without hesitation, they decided to participate, full of confidence.
Sakura, now very confident in her teammates' abilities, was ready to ride along to victory without any objections.
Five Days Later
"We're here! So many people…"
The three excitedly arrived at the Chūnin Exam location, Room 301. Sakura glanced at the crowd, covering her mouth in amazement.
"Sako, you're here…"
As soon as Sakura finished speaking, a green blur appeared before them, and Rock Lee was standing there, staring at Sako with an intense look of admiration.
Sako's expression darkened immediately. It was Rock Lee from Guy's team, who had been chasing after her ever since they returned to Konoha.
"Sako, you're participating in the Chūnin Exams too? Well, of course you are… Your strength is amazing, especially with… that guy."
Tenten, dressed in her white cheongsam with her signature double buns, approached Sako with a smile, crossing her arms. She couldn't help but glance at Naruto, who, in her mind, was terrifyingly strong.
"Sako, don't be like that," Sako said awkwardly, freeing herself from Tenten's arm with a bit of a blush. Even though she now identified as a girl, she still felt uncomfortable with such close interaction from other girls.
"Naruto, we meet again!" Neji appeared from behind Lee and Tenten, his excitement barely contained.
"Yeah, long time no see!" Naruto replied, giving Neji a casual pat on the shoulder. It wasn't the right time for long conversations here.
"Sakura! Where's Sasuke?! Where's my Sasuke-kun?!"
Just as Naruto and Neji finished exchanging greetings, Ino rushed over, looking around anxiously. She grabbed Sakura and asked frantically.
"Sasuke? Ino, I don't like Sasuke anymore. Since he's 'your Sasuke,' you can go find him yourself!"
Sakura shot a glance at Sako and smirked slightly. Then, she stared back at Ino playfully.
"Wait, what? You don't like him anymore?!"
Ino was shocked. She stared at Sakura in disbelief, wide-eyed. This couldn't be happening! Ino's affection for Sasuke was more about competing with Sakura than any deep feelings for Sasuke himself.
"Ahem... Ino, you might want to hear this. She… is Sasuke. Now called Uchiha Sako," Kiba chimed in from the side as his team approached.
"What do you mean, Kiba?! That girl… is Sasuke??"
Ino was stunned. Her eyes widened as she scrutinized Sako carefully. This wild, well-dressed girl was supposed to be Sasuke?
"That's right, Ino. I used to disguise myself as a boy," Sako replied, now as calm as Kakashi, admitting it without hesitation.
"WHAT?!"
In an instant, Ino, Shikamaru, and Chōji all shouted in unison, eyes wide with disbelief. Even Kabuto, observing in secret, furrowed his brow. This wasn't in any of his information. But he quickly shrugged it off.
'A gender difference? Lord Orochimaru probably wouldn't care about that. But Naruto… I need to be cautious around him.'
Kabuto glanced at Naruto through a small gap, deciding against trying to curry favor.
Later, During the Exam
"Quiet down, you fools!"
Suddenly, a puff of white smoke appeared, and the exam proctor's rough voice boomed out as the Konoha Examination Team made its entrance. After a long-winded explanation, everyone took their seats, and the first exam officially began.
"Naruto-kun, please do your best…"
Hinata, sitting next to Naruto, whispered shyly, her face bright red as she gave him a quiet word of encouragement.
"Hinata, you're so cute…"
Naruto couldn't help but smile, teasing the shy girl. Hearing his compliment, Hinata trembled, her blush spreading down to her neck. She was so flustered that she almost fainted.
'It's over… Naruto won't know how to answer these questions!'
Sakura looked at her exam paper, glancing worriedly at Naruto, her mind in turmoil.
'I see… This exam is about gathering intelligence, right? With my skills, these questions aren't hard. As for Naruto, with his Byakugan, he'll be fine too. Now then… Sharingan, activate!'
Sako analyzed the questions quickly and smirked, her Three Tomoe Sharingan spinning into action. As she activated her dōjutsu, many other examinees began to act as well: Neji's Byakugan, Ino's Mind Transfer Jutsu, Shino's bugs, the Sound Village's sound manipulation, Kankuro's crow puppet, and Gaara's sand—all of them using their abilities to cheat.
Naruto watched everyone's techniques with interest. 'If I had known these tricks in my past life, I'd have been a god at exams!'
"Naruto, Naruto! Look at my paper! I can show you the answers!"
As Naruto casually looked around, Hinata whispered nervously, offering to help.
"No, thanks. I don't want you to get disqualified because of me. Don't worry, I won't lose here."
Naruto smiled confidently at Hinata, gently turning down her offer.
[Hinata's really sweet. It's a shame I already know how this will all play out…]
Naruto chuckled inwardly, continuing to watch the chaos around him. As long as he didn't write any answers, no one could accuse him of cheating!
"Naruto…"
Hinata murmured to herself as she glanced at Naruto's blank test paper, still worried.
