"...I thought you would only help if I offered up my body," Frostella murmured softly. "And in Spirit culture, we are not allowed to give up our purity unless we marry. If not, both I and my love-making partner would die due to mysterious means."

"That doesn't sound ominous at all," Romulus said sarcastically before going through her words once more in his head. After a moment, he heaved what felt like the thousandth sigh today. "You really are a silly woman, and even I, who has interacted with literally no one, know at least that much."

A cute snort echoed. "For someone who just missed a once in a lifetime opportunity, you sure do know how to use that tongue for all the wrong things."

"I thought you said you were ugly? What exactly would I be missing out on if that were the case?"
