The masked man took a deep breath before speaking. "Now, there's something I want to discuss privately, but this isn't the right place. Everyone can leave. Keiran, Aren, you two stay."
As everyone else slowly left the room, Seina's eyes remained fixed on Keiran. Nathaniel noticed this and leaned towards her with a mischievous grin. "You can't take your eyes off him, huh? Someone you know?"
Seina paused for a moment, then replied quietly. "Yes… A long time ago, he saved me. I fell in love with him, but I never saw him again. Now, seeing him after all these years… how should I put it… I still feel the same."
Nathaniel burst into laughter upon hearing Seina's confession. "Hahaha! So the spoiled rich girl's in love, huh? I didn't see that coming!"
Seina smiled and lightly punched him on the shoulder. "I'm not spoiled!"
The masked man approached Aren and Keiran and continued speaking. "Thank you for accepting to be the fifth prince's bodyguards. Normally, Genetic Control would send someone, but most of them are currently only serving the first prince. So, we really need strong protectors."
Aren paused for a moment, fixing his gaze on the masked man. "Did you say Genetic Control?"
The masked man smiled slightly. "Yes, is there a problem with them?"
Aren's expression grew more serious. "I boarded this ship to hunt them."
The masked man laughed in surprise. "Hahaha! You really are an interesting one, Aren. Keiran, you came along to hunt Genetic Control too?"
Keiran glanced at his friend and responded with a faint smile. "Yes. Whatever Aren wants to hunt, I'm with him."
The masked man stifled his laughter and returned to a serious tone. "Right now, no one knows who they are. They've blended in among the people. Until we reach the princes, their true identities won't be revealed."
Aren, still looking at the masked man, asked, "So, when will we reach the princes?"
The masked man replied calmly, "We'll arrive on the island in a week."
Keiran took a step forward. "So, why did you want to speak with us privately?"
The masked man relaxed his posture and lowered his head slightly before speaking. "My name is Zenak. I'm the fifth prince's special agent. The purpose of this voyage is to gather potential allies for the prince. The first four princes have far more power, influence, and resources than the others. Our main goal is to make the fifth prince the emperor."
Keiran frowned upon hearing this. "Isn't that crazy? You said the first four princes are incredibly powerful. How could that even be possible?"
Zenak continued with a sly smile. "There are rules in the Ashar tradition. One of them is that it's forbidden to directly attack a prince or their men."
Aren, now confused, asked, "Then how will this war be fought?"
Zenak explained patiently. "It's a long story, but to put it simply, the war must be fought without being noticed. As long as you leave no trace behind, the rule doesn't apply. But if you're caught, your punishment will be delivered by the emperor. What that punishment is, no one knows."
Keiran turned to Aren, narrowing his eyes as he spoke. "Looks like we've gotten ourselves into something pretty complicated, my friend."
Aren nodded slightly, murmuring thoughtfully, "So, what do we do now?"
Zenak looked at both men coldly as he finished. "For now, return to your rooms. In a week, when we reach the island, I'll explain everything in detail."
Once the conversation ended, Aren and Keiran began walking slowly back to their quarters. As the ship continued to glide over the waves, a strange silence hung between them. Keiran glanced at his friend with a slight smile. "We're in trouble again, aren't we?"
Aren kept walking silently, taking a deep breath. "As always."
