After lunch, Eclipse took a nap in her room. When she came back downstairs, Alastor was lounging on the sofa, his long fingers playing with a stack of papers.
Eclipse sat beside him with a soft smile. "Does the Empire Group have plans to produce TV dramas soon?" she asked casually.
Alastor set the papers down, his deep eyes focusing on her. "Are you thinking of becoming a star, Madam?" he asked in a neutral tone.
Eclipse shook her head. "I have a script," she said. "It's well written, and if done right, it could be a big hit."
Once, Eclipse had been a talented writer, but her brilliance had been dimmed by people who didn't appreciate her.
Alastor's gaze grew more serious as he studied her. "As the CEO of Empire Group, you can do anything you want. You don't need permission."
Eclipse was a bit taken aback, but then she smiled, amused by his words.
She had almost forgotten about the marriage proposal she had accepted.
As she was about to mention her dowry, her eyes fell on the newspaper Alastor had left on the table. It was a report of her being publicly abandoned at her wedding...
Eclipse thought for a moment, then met Alastor's intense gaze with a playful smirk. "Do you have any questions for me?"
Alastor's lips curled into a faint smile as he reached out to touch her cheek. His voice was commanding. "You are now a married woman. That fiancé of yours should disappear."
Eclipse chuckled softly. "Give me five days," she said. "In five days, it'll be Mr. Lu's birthday. I'll personally end this engagement once and for all."
Eclipse had already gotten her marriage certificate, but people still saw her and Robert Jade as fiancés. Even though Alastor was now her husband, it still seemed like Eclipse was caught in the middle of two men.
Eclipse smiled a little. "I won't let any trouble bother you."
It wasn't easy for someone like her, with a bad reputation, to find someone who wanted to marry her. She wasn't going to let her past mistakes cause Alastor any problems.

The largest charity auction in Star City.
Eclipse sat in the VIP room on the second floor, looking down at the auction below. She watched with interest, her eyes scanning the crowd.
She had lived a mostly good life for the last twenty years, but there were parts of it that hadn't been great. Her biggest problem had always been her weak body. If she'd been stronger, she would've led armies and fought her own battles long ago.
But because of her health and her family's status, Eclipse rarely went to big social events like this.
Alastor saw her leaning on the windowsill, looking comfortable and in a good mood. His eyes darkened as he observed her.
Eclipse's eyes caught something interesting. Down below, she spotted Jessica Rocelyn and Robert Jade.
These two, who used to act so proper in public, didn't care about appearances anymore after their engagement was broken. Instead of being called out as a scumbag and a mistress, they were getting praise and congratulations.
Eclipse sipped her tea, her eyes cold. It seemed like Robert brought Jessica here to relax after the drama of the morning.
She turned to look at Alastor. He was watching her too, his deep eyes studying her, as if he could see through everything.
"I want to bring down the Rocelyn Family and the Jade Family," Eclipse said slowly. "I might even destroy them."
Alastor's true identity was still a mystery, but Eclipse could tell that he was powerful. His words and actions showed he had the presence of someone who was used to being in control. The Empire Group was a massive company, yet he didn't even blink when he gave it to her as a wedding gift.
But there were things that needed to be said.
No one knew that the real Eclipse Rocelyn was already dead. And Robert Jade owed her more than just an apology. He owed her a life.
