Capítulo 9: Not dead?
(Asahi POV)
I look at the dead body of Suguru Geto and think to myself how far I have come. It all started with me and a knife. Granted, it is an overpowered knife, but that was still all I had. I used my gift to the fullest and reached the top of the last world. It was a relatively short climb, but it brought me a lot of benefits. I learnt how dangerous my Essence could be if I didn't use it correctly and smartly. I was a bit careless when I just used the knife on myself and cut away my 'feeling of hunger', but I learnt from it and developed. The moment when I cut apart my 'weakness' was much more critical than I realised.
It was my lack of weakness that allowed me to grow to the peak of humanity in the world of Kimetsu no Yaiba and gain more powers without drawbacks. Very early on in my multiversal travels, I literally cut apart all of my weaknesses and made myself a broken character. It was also for this reason that I could not only kill Toji but then also absorb him despite being human myself. Disgust, which stood in my way of further power, is a weakness, which is also the reason why I didn't have any.
Why did I come here? Why did I kill Suguru Geto and not let him live like it was supposed to happen? Was I a power-hungry SOB? I guess that would be correct, but I didn't kill Suguru Geto for his power and Cursed Technique. I could live without it, but there was something else I had planned, and for that reason, I had to kill him. One of those reasons is the backshot-taking body-swapper. I think he is just a big nuisance, but after a short while, I plan on actually living in this world and enjoying my time here. So I have to prepare beforehand.
I walk away from Suguru Geto's body and reach the girl, Amanai Riko. I didn't shoot her in the head because while I am an asshole, I'm not a monster ... at least not to young girls like her. She deserves a better life, and I will not take that chance from her. So I shot her through the chest and made sure not to hit something vital. I knew the fight against Geto wouldn't take too long, and I could come here to heal her.
I swipe my wakizashi through her body and 'cut' apart her injury, healing her fully. Before she can wake up, I knock her out like I did to her caretaker, Kuroi-san. I lift her up and carry her out of the Tombs. When I reached the elevator, I found Kuroi-san still in the position I had left her. I carry her as well and then move away from Jujutsu High School to the Time Vessel Association.

I reach the Time Vessel Association and enter the building. Shiu Kong is already there waiting for me, smoking as usual.
"So, seeing you here, it seems that you succeeded."
"I suppose you could call it that. So far, things have gone my way," I answer.
"Mhm, let's go. One of the Star Religious Group's elders, Shigeru Sonoda, is waiting for the body."
I follow him, and we enter a room where an ugly old man sits on a couch waiting for us. Shigeru is a tall elderly man with dark, slick back hair, many wrinkles on his face, and a strange round bulge on his forehead.
"Have you completed your task?"
"Indeed," I say and reveal the bloody figure of Amanai Riko and lay it on the table.
"I'm glad. We hired you for the assassination, expecting you would fail. Our Star Religious Group was founded in the Nara Era when Tengen-sama began preaching about the moral foundation of jujutsu sorcerers, a minority, as Buddhism spread throughout Japan. Jujutsu society and religious corporations are in complete odds with each other. That strain is what gave birth to our modern Star Religious Group, the Time Vessel Association. That is also why we have devoted ourselves to remaining non-sorcerers.
Jujutsu Sorcerers are granted many privileges above the law but are still fundamentally forbidden to lay a hand on non-sorcerers. However, the time had finally arrived. The time of the taboo is recorded in our scriptures! Our Star Religious Group has evolved into a monotheistic religion that worships one absolute god! And it was now time for our object of worship to assimilate with that impurity! If our believers saw us simply sit back and watch the assimilation happen, our Association would crumble. Yet if we took excessive action, Jujutsu Sorcerers would crush us.
So we were truly desperate. And how did it all turn out? We thought we would lose everything, and now we have everything!"
I had heard enough.
"I don't particularly like to burst your bubble ... ah, who am I kidding? I do like to burst your bubble. You actually have nothing, and your Time Vessel Association shall crumble."
"Hm?"
"You see ..." I say and flash in front of him, slashing his throat in one clean swipe.
*Kkkuukk*
"... you will all die today."
"I feel the surprise of Shiu Kong as he sees what I just did. I turn around and look at him. I sense his fear. Too bad.
"Why?"
"Times change, Shiu. Sometimes, you have to do what's right, no matter how many old entitled men you have to slaughter."
"They won't let you go for this, you know. After what you pulled, they'll come after you and not rest until you're dead. You killed- ... I see, you didn't kill the girl, did you?"
"No. I did not enjoy our time, Shiu Kong. And I'm not truly sorry for this."
*Shing*
Now, it's time to clean the house, as they say.

After I am done, I walk outside. Suddenly, the light intensifies for some reason, and I smile unconsciously. I wasn't confident whether it would work, but apparently it did.
"Hey, it's been a while."
"Haha, for real?"
"For real, real. I'm alive and kicking," Gojo Satoru says, showing me the healed wound on his forehead. Good, it seems my plan worked and Gojo Satoru has been enlightened.
"So you learned Reverse Cursed Technique."
"Bingo. When you stabbed me through the throat, I gave up on counterattacking and poured all my focus into the Reverse Cursed Technique. Cursed Energy is negative energy. While it can enhance the body, it can't regenerate it. So, you multiply that negative energy against itself to create positive energy. That's the Reverse Cursed Technique.
Easier said than done! I hadn't been able to do that up until now myself! And I couldn't understand anything the one person who could do it said! ..."
I watch Gojo go on and on about his experience. He's like a waterfall of information as he has indeed been enlightened. He's on a high.
"... But I finally grasped it on the verge of death! The true essence of Cursed Energy! The reason you're going to lose is because you didn't chop my head off and because you didn't use that Cursed Tool when you stabbed my head."
"Heh ... I'm glad you got to experience that. However, I think we better make sure, don't you think?"
I grab the Inverted Spear of Heaven and focus on Gojo. He gives off a completely different presence now than he did before. It's like comparing a housecat with a ferocious tiger. But on a much grander scale. He gives off a dangerous presence and aura. Good.
"Our fight is just getting started."
"Oh? Is it? Yeah ... Maybe so!"
I smile when I see him and bend my knees. With a powerful push, I shoot forward, starting at the same speed as Mach 10, which I used to defeat him. Well, I was faster, but he used Blue, so he helped. Now, I want to see how far he's come. My plan for coming to this world always served one purpose and only one. I could have waited for things to play out normally, but that would not have been as good.
My figure blurs, and I arrive in front of him. I swing the Inverted Spear of Heaven upward, trying to hit him again. However, this time, he uses minimal movement and slightly moves his body to the side. Just enough to not get hit. I change my grip on the Spear, turn 360°, and slash towards him.
*Woooosh*
However, as I do so, he is gone. My danger sense tingles, and my hair stands up, warning me of danger behind me. There, Gojo is floating in the air upside-down, pointing a finger at me.
<Cursed Technique Reversal: Red!>
In the same instance, a small red 'bead' of repulsive force appears before me. I feel the immense power pushing me away and backwards. I am fast enough to block the impact with the Inverted Spear of Heaven. The tremendous power pushes me backwards through the air, and I crash into the building behind me.
*BOOOOOM*

Heh, what a monster. To imagine that he actually managed to hurt me slightly. But it's not enough. I raise my head and see him float horizontally in the air, basking in the sun's golden glow and basking in his enlightenment. However, it's not enough. He needs to be pushed more.
So he has learned the Reverse Cursed Technique and applied it to his Limitless. We have the neutral form, Infinity, the normal application 'Lapse: Blue' and now the 'Reversal: Red'. There is only one missing, but I know that he has also learned that one. The only thing missing now is a worthy opponent to push him and reveal the immense potential he still has hidden. Heh, how exciting.
I grab the Inverted Spear of Heaven and take out the Chain of a Thousand Miles. I attach the Inverted Spear to the Chain, which gives me a basically limitless range on the weapon. Unlike Toji Fuhsiguro, I know how to make the most of this weapon. I start to swing the chain around me, faster and faster, causing the kusagari-like weapon to move wildly around me. Before I attack, I see his eyes move towards me. He's exceptional.
With powerful swings, I twirl the chain and swing it towards Gojo. The upward swing, however, is once again dodged by him, proving that he can move mid-air without problems. I pull it back again, attacking from his right horizontally. But he just moves his body back, positioning himself horizontally as well and letting the Inverted Spear pass above him.
The light shines even brighter, and I hear his voice.
"Sorry, Suguru. I'm not even angry over you right now. I bear no grudge against anyone. It's just that the world feels so, so wonderful right now."
He changes his position again and is upright, moving his hands up and forward with a bright smile.
"Throughout Heaven and Earth, I alone am the Honoured One."
I feel the change in the air and smile even brighter. Good, things are coming along. I use the chain to tear apart the ground, creating a wave of debris that forces Gojo higher in the air, stopping all the debris from touching him. Suddenly, the Inverted Spear of Heaven appears from the dust cloud at the same height as Gojo. I swing the chain, sending the cursed tool around the honoured one. The chain wraps around Gojo and would have captured him if he hadn't had Infinity active. But that doesn't matter to me. I see him raise his right arm to use another technique but don't allow that to happen.
With my full power, I pull at the chain. Now, since there is infinity between Gojo and the chain, he isn't the one who is pulled, but I am. This is perfect for me as I can finally move closer. I 'unwrap' the chain again and pull it closer, grabbing the Inverted Spear of Heaven with my hand and stabbing it towards Gojo.
Before my weapon reaches him, though, my vision is blinded by another red colour.
<Cursed Technique Reversal: Red!>
*BOOOOM*
"Urgh..."
The force of the attack hit me in the stomach and almost ripped through my flesh. I used the Inverted Spear of Heaven to push the technique away, but the damage was done. I would worry if I cared about the damage of this degree. Now, high up in the air, I look down at Gojo and see him preparing another technique. I don't plan on just being hit by his 'Hollow Purple', so I swing my chain again.
I swing it forward, causing it to pierce the ground, and I am just about to pull myself forward when something stops me.
<Cursed Technique Lapse: Blue>
Gojo, the brilliant bastard, uses Blue to pull me and the chain back, stopping me from moving out of the way of his next attack. Then my eyes widened as I noticed my mistake. The 'Reversal: Red' he fired at me and pushed me into the air has come back around and is fusing with the Blue he has just activated. This happened because I didn't release the Red and just pushed it away from me.
Take the amplified and the reversal, then smash together those two different expressions of infinity to create and push out an imaginary mass.

Another change, and in the next chapter, we will see why he went through all the trouble to do this. I am not the smartest, and I can't create perfect new plots, but I did think of something, such as why he had to go through all the trouble and why Suguru Geto had to die.
