Capítulo 71: ch71- Strategic Advance

With their experience from the first resource point, the team managed to capture the second one even faster. The speed increase was mostly thanks to Alex, who had become even more efficient at slaying monsters, while the others had improved only marginally.

Despite wearing divine gear and having captured two resource points, the team didn't seem as enthusiastic as expected.

Seeing this, Alex patiently reassured them, saying, "Your strength hasn't fully developed yet. The transformation from quantity to quality takes time. Just a few days ago, I was at your level. Now that your potential levels are up, it's only a matter of time before you all become just as strong."

Jenny rolled her eyes playfully and said, "We wouldn't dare compare ourselves to you, Mr. Cheat Code!"

The team gave Alex a look of exasperation but couldn't help but laugh. They knew that their rapid growth in strength was all thanks to Alex's generous spending, and comparing themselves to him would be wishful thinking.

Though the feeling of being outclassed by one person wasn't great, they weren't overly sentimental about it. Most of them were already thrilled with their newfound power. It was only when they compared themselves to Alex that they felt somewhat inadequate.

After a quick adjustment, the group got back into the right mindset. Earning points, completing tasks, and spending more on upgrades was their new focus. And even though they couldn't match Alex, they were far ahead of that self-proclaimed emperor, "Aoyama II," who couldn't even complete a set of divine gear. Here, they had several full sets among them.

At a pace of half an hour per resource point, the team managed to capture a total of eight resource points by nightfall. Considering it was nearly 6 PM and it would take three hours to occupy the points, Alex, Jenny, and Daniel needed to head back for the "Global Power Arena" event, so their conquering efforts for the day came to an end.

Although they didn't reach their goal of ten resource points, taking down eight in just four hours was an impressive feat. Just yesterday, it had taken thousands of people across the city of East Sea to capture a few resource points, but now, Alex's team of fewer than thirty people had nearly matched that in an afternoon.

Of course, the entire team knew that the one person with the power to crush tens of thousands was Alex himself.

Capturing the resource points wasn't the end. They had to occupy them to receive the rewards, so Alex started assigning teams: "I'll take one point, Jenny and Daniel, you five will each handle one, and the remaining two points will be handled by Lucas and Karen. You two, along with your SR-grade **Belos Stars**, will be enough."

Alex wasn't concerned—he could occupy another point in a matter of minutes if necessary. Jenny and the others, though still developing their attributes, had divine gear and the **Belos Stars** to help them hold their ground.

The group split into teams as Alex instructed. Jenny's five-person squad formed three-person teams, Alex took one point by himself, and the remaining twelve divided into two groups, each led by SR-grade **Belos Stars** users.

They left some of the more fatigued teammates to guard the last resource point, ensuring the monsters couldn't reclaim it. Meanwhile, Alex and the rest returned to the earlier resource points for a sweep to ensure they were clear before completing the occupation.

As expected, when they returned to the previous resource point, they found it overrun by nearly a thousand monsters. Had they waited any longer, it would have turned into a monster nest.

The idea of letting it become a nest for the potential rewards was tempting, but given that other points might already have turned into nests, the team decided to abandon that thought. It would waste time, and they could always create monster nests later when they had more time and control.

Once again, it was Alex leading the charge, sweeping the area while the others took the opportunity to rest. Unlike Alex, with his 630% stamina and high energy output, the others couldn't afford to be as aggressive. For the rest of the class, guarding a resource point in groups of three or five was still a significant challenge.

As they cleared the second resource point, task notifications began to pop up, signaling updates on the previous locations they had captured.

The reports came from the first and third resource points they had taken earlier.

The first point, **Stardust Platform**, had completed its occupation, but the third resource point showed a failure.

The rewards for successfully capturing the resource point were similar to before, but the failed occupation attempt at the third point meant no base rewards. Alex received an S-rank evaluation and reward for the failed task due to his efforts.

Jenny and Daniel also received their respective rewards, though much smaller than Alex's.

The team speculated that the first resource point had been claimed by others, likely due to its proximity to East Sea City and the fact that they had publicly announced their intentions. The third point, however, was farther away and might have been reclaimed by monsters soon after the team left.

This possibility was high, as the resource points they had just swept were again swarming with monsters—almost 1,000 to 2,000 of them. Given enough time, they too would have turned into monster nests.
