Capítulo 20: Uchiha Raichi
'Genin is a nice first step since I haven't been able to complete the achievement of helping 10,000 people yet. As for chakra control, it'll improve as long as I stay consistent with the same schedule that I've been following.' he thought as he grabbed a kunai that was nearby and used it to make a small cut on his palm.
It took him almost an hour to fully heal without him having to actively use his healing jutsu on the cut.
"Same as last year..." he muttered.
He had hoped that his regenerative powers would increase with age just like his chakra, but from the results of his recent experiment, it looked like that wasn't the case.
'Oh well, I'll just have use character points to increase my regenerative powers, but it's not the most important thing at the moment.' he thought as he recalled the missions that genins could take.
D and C rank missions did not involve fighting against ninjas, so it was a relatively safe time for Kira to continue developing. Unfortunately, since the third great shinobi war was about to start, he really couldn't guess if he would be thrown into a B rank mission or not.
'B rank missions have a high chance of encountering shinobi from other villages and when fighting against them, this level of recovery won't really help. If I think about value, I feel like ninjutsu or taijutsu would help me more at this stage. Maybe even genjutsu and dynamic vision as they'll allow me to use more clones efficiently.'
Once the wound on his palm healed, he left his house and visited the clan head.
He didn't knock the door, and simply entered, "I'm home."
Saying that, he walked into the kitchen and saw a few dishes already placed on the table.
Kakeru, without looking back, spoke as he tended to the food on the stove.
"It's your first day as a genin. You'll be put into a team, but I talked to the hokage and made some special arrangements."
"Thank you grandpa. By the way, when will I be allowed to use the other bugs? My kikaichu are strong, but I feel like I might need others."
Kakeru stopped what he was doing and turned around to face Kira, "Once you become a chunin, I'll take you to our clan's breeding area. All of our clan members heavily rely on our bugs and even though they're very versatile and could be used for multiple purposes, most of them are not proficient in other areas.
They're really bad at taijutsu and genjutsu while being only average when it comes to ninjutsu. So, if you take away their bugs, they're nothing but useless. On the other hand, you're developing in a different way compared to all the other clan members and I hope that you continue doing the same."
"Grandpa, you're underestimating the power of our clan's bugs. While we aren't on par with other ninjas when it comes to the three basic combat methods, we can still overpower most of them with the help of our bugs.
Kikaichu, if we have enough of them, can eat the ninjutsu released by others since it's made of chakra. This is just our most basic bugs. Also, we'll have two other teammates so what's the point of trying to learn other things when we can specialise in one area?
We're known for being one of the best clans when it comes to scouting and assassinations. Isn't that what the true essence of being a ninja is?" Kira said as he looked up at Kakeru.
He wasn't lying, but the old man in front of him also wasn't wrong. The aburame wouldn't stand a chance once the next incarnations of Indra and Asura appeared, also known as Sasuke and Naruto.
What would bugs be able to do in fights where chakra mechs were involved? Nothing.
As for why they didn't practice anything else other than using their bugs? It was because their bugs could help them do almost everything a ninja needs to do, so they were overly dependent on them.
And why was Kira not saying the things that were actually in his mind? It was because he knew that even if Kakeru tried to change their minds, it wouldn't work on the other clan members.
Second reason was that he didn't give two flying fucks about the other clan members anyways.
'No one other than Kakeru showed me any kind of compassion or kindness, so why should I care about them?' Kira thought as he dug into his food.
Kira and Kakeru talked for quite a while before Kira left the Aburame clan's area and headed towards the Leaf Village's gate. There, he saw three people looking at him as he walked towards them.
The tallest one, clearly their team's leader and a Jonin, wore a commonly seen green vest with the Uchiha clan symbol on the back. There were two other kids, one of them was a girl who had a very noticeable Hyuga's kekkei genkai, the byakugan.
As for the other one, he was a male, but Kira couldn't guess his origins with a single look like he had done with the other two.

"You're late." The Uchiha team leader said as he glared at Kira, but Kira simply shrugged in response.
He then shook his head and said, "No, you're the one who's early. I'm right on time."
"Hmm. Anyways, from today onwards you'll be in my team and this means that you must listen to my orders no matter what happens." The Uchiha said, his voice stern as he placed his hand on the Hyuga girl's hair and pulled out a Kikaichu.
She looked at the bug and then turned around before staring daggers at Kira, who gave out a sheepish smile after getting caught.
"Your pranks aside, you can just call me by my name. It's Uchiha Raichi. As for these two who'll be your teammates, introduce yourselves."
