Satori was incredibly powerful, undoubtedly at a tailed-beast level. Whether it was speed, strength, or chakra, it was on par with the tailed beasts.
Moreover, it could fly, manipulate chakra, and possessed human-level intelligence.
So, what was the best fate for such a being?
From the very beginning, Aoba had decided its outcome: either death or becoming his summoning beast.
That's right, Aoba's intention all along was to subdue this creature.
While it seemed like anyone in the storyline could have a summoning beast, that was only because the audience saw the protagonists. In reality, summoning beasts were high-level resources. Apart from large ninja clans, most ninjas didn't have access to them.
Especially the powerful summoning beasts, which were typically passed down through generations.
As a civilian-born ninja, Aoba naturally didn't have a summoning beast. He also had no interest in common ones.
The summoning beasts of the Three Great Sage Regions were a decent option. However, the toads and snakes were overly independent and had strong affiliations with powerful backers, making them difficult to control.
The slug was a good choice, as was the Monkey King Enma.
Both of these aligned with Aoba's preference for powerful and highly intelligent partners. However, as with the others, their strong affiliations made them difficult to train.
Aoba preferred something he could mold and manipulate freely. Satori fit the bill perfectly. It met all his requirements, and the Box of Ultimate Bliss itself was shrouded in mysteries.
Aoba planned to take the box back to the Hidden Leaf's research lab to study its nature thoroughly.
Aoba's calm attitude infuriated Satori. Once a dominating force, it couldn't believe it was being toyed with by a mere human. Even though it wasn't in its complete form, a human should have been easy to handle.
It hadn't expected to emerge from millennia of confinement only to face such a formidable enemy.
While Satori had high durability, its regeneration was not limitless. If it sustained damage beyond the box's restorative capacity, it would have to return to recover. Although it was technically immortal, it wasn't invincible.
The mixed Sage-enhanced elemental jutsus inflicted considerable damage. After Aoba's barrage of tests, Satori was already half-dead.
At this point, it realized it might not be able to defeat this ninja.
Aoba's chakra reserves, techniques, and strategies completely countered it. Most importantly, its strongest ability which was sensing the emotions of others, was useless against him.
Satori's ability to read its opponent's intentions was its greatest strength, yet it couldn't sense anything from Aoba. Unable to predict his moves, it could only take blow after blow.
It didn't understand why this was happening, but now, it wanted to flee. If it could find a secluded place to gather its strength, it believed it could one day grow powerful enough to defeat this human.
After all, it had already sensed that the modern world was brimming with diverse emotions. With enough time, its growth potential was limitless.
Satori launched another red chakra energy ball from its mouth, intending to force Aoba back.
This was the one attack Aoba avoided engaging with directly.
Previously, he had attempted to use the Flying Thunder God technique to teleport the energy balls away but failed each time. Ultimately, he could only dodge them.
This time, however, he didn't evade. Instead, he channeled the Tailed Beast Chakra stored within him.
Aoba had previously extracted Shukaku's primordial chakra and nurtured it in his body, though he hadn't used it in battle yet.
The chakra was immensely powerful, destructive enough that Aoba only planned to use it in life-or-death situations. But Satori was a perfect test subject.
The primordial chakra within Aoba's body was like a miniature, mindless tailed beast—a constantly generating source of tailed beast chakra. However, it lacked control and could be thought of as a developing tailed beast embryo.
Gathering the violent chakra in his hands, Aoba condensed it into a small Tailed Beast Bomb.
He wasted no time launching it. Since he wasn't a tailed beast, he couldn't fully control the attack yet. If he didn't release it quickly, it could explode in his hands.
The Tailed Beast Bomb didn't require intricate technique, it relied on extreme chakra compression, a straightforward "brute force" approach.
As a human, Aoba's body struggled to handle such high levels of chakra compression, let alone control it.
Still, it wasn't impossible. Consider how, during their legendary battle, Madara Uchiha summoned the Nine-Tails as a summoning beast while Hashirama Senju used his Sage Art: Wood Golem to deflect a full-powered Tailed Beast Bomb bare-handed. Such feats seemed absurd in hindsight.
Now, Aoba couldn't even fully contain a small Tailed Beast Bomb from his own chakra. Yet Hashirama had once caught the Nine-Tails' full-strength attack head-on. The difference in power was staggering.
The violent shockwave from the Tailed Beast Bomb struck Satori mid-air as it tried to flee. The resulting explosion leveled the entire Hozuki Castle prison.
Satori plummeted from the sky and struggled to get up. Realizing it couldn't continue fighting, it turned toward the Box of Ultimate Bliss, intent on fleeing with it.
But just as it reached the box, a golden chain shot through the air, coiling around the box and dragging it away.
"No!" Satori roared in rage. Turning to look, it saw a group of kids had taken advantage of the chaos to snatch the box.
The Adamantine Sealing Chains were being wielded by Karin, though she hadn't trained extensively with the technique. The ability, tied to her Uzumaki lineage, required careful management to avoid overstraining her body. Thus, Aoba had limited her development of the skill.
For now, she could only control two chains, far from the level required to seal a tailed beast. But simple tasks like this were well within her capability.
"Karin, be careful!" Seeing Satori charge toward her, Naruto immediately stepped in.
If nothing else, Naruto was an excellent teammate, he was always ready to take action when needed.
"Shadow Clone Jutsu!" Hundreds of clones materialized, each wielding a Rasengan, and charged at Satori.
Under normal circumstances, Satori would have dismissed such an attack. However, after Aoba's relentless assault, it was already at its limit.
Now, it couldn't afford to take even this seemingly minor attack head-on. Another heavy blow would force it back into the box, and who knew when it would emerge again.
Moreover, Naruto's assault was far from simple. Hundreds of Rasengan strikes would leave even a tailed beast battered and bruised.
Realizing the monster was avoiding direct confrontation, Sasuke quickly deduced its condition, it was nearly dead. He immediately saw this as the opportunity their teacher had given them to complete the mission.
"Naruto, cover me!" Sasuke shouted.
"Got it!" Naruto replied without hesitation. His clones surrounded Satori from all sides, limiting its movements.
Sasuke, meanwhile, began gathering chakra.
"Lightning Style: Flash!"
