Now that the haze of the battle was not hanging over everyone, Leander could tackle the mystery of the stone floor under the soil. There were runes etched on the floor. And he wished Bog were here, as he had made it his pastime to learn runes.
He stared at the runes, which looked like claw-made scratches and swirls to him, and sighed.
"Perhaps I can be of some assistance?" Soed was behind him and staring at the runes as well.
"Ah, Soed. Sure, if you know something about the runes, do tell me," Leander took a step back, and let Soed take his place.
"Hm, those are ancient. I think, from the way the stone is worn, from around 50,000 years ago," Asmodeos mused.
There were myths about a race that lived under the ground, around that time. The world had still been young, then. With the first elves beginning to populate the forests and finding out they could outlive their human cousins.
How will the world look like then?
You will find that out in the second volume, I mean, the sequel of Anti-cake: Life Skilling. It is more of a comedy slice of life, with hints as to what happened to the Try Hard Party and friends! (Complete and around 50k words long. Written in 2022, I think? Have to double-check. At any rate, I will put it through a bit of brushing up, just like how I did for Anti-cake.)
Just wanted to tell you that there is more to come, once you read the end of Anti-cake, which is chapter 118.
