The silence between us is so thick you could cut it with a knife. I stare out the window, refusing to break it. After all, who does he think he is, storming into my dinner like that? Throwing a fit over me having dinner with another man—when he himself was off doing God knows what with his mystery woman back home? And the audacity to lie he had a dinner planned for me. Where? I didn't see any dinner setup, no word from him or Rui.
