You couldn't control your own desires, and now you're trying to stake a claim on your ex? It's pathetic." She crossed her arms, her tone dripping with disdain. "I don't want to work with you. I'd rather handle things alone than deal with you as a partner."

"Good. I don't want to partner with you either. You aren't any better than me. I know how you tried to defame my uncle for your brother's death," Roderick snapped, his voice laced with bitterness.
